what about the people who think the earth and mother nature is its own God?
some people believe Satan is God.

i think people today are afraid to belive because they dont have someone guiding them in beliefs, which they shouldnt in the first place.

you should be able to sum up your life and the things around it and create your own beliefes through it.

i dont really base my beliefs on being lonely and hopeless, i base them on the facts of discovery and how big the universe is and how small we are and what little we do know.

I was raised a catholic but my fathers a Christian and my mothers a jew.

So my parents let me decide what to believe in. and with all the information I have gathered for myself I have come to believe there is no god or special forces in the world only those we create within ourselves to make it another day.

Yes a very misfortunate happening.. People want to believe in something good because they can face the fact that it?s over when you die. and something so bad could happen to good people. well it happens everyday and if there was a god or whatever it wouldnt happen at all

So people conjure up these mystic gods etc.

All I know is I make the best of what I have and try to live life to the fullest while I'm still physically able too. Once I die thats it and it scares the fuck out of me sometimes because I don't want to die I have a great life

I couldn't agree more. I truly admire people with such strong beliefs and wish I had them myself sometimes.

I think where the problem arises is that many people with such strong beliefs are also religious activists. Thats why people like yourself get wrongly attacked and lumped in with the religion pushers.

if i am not mistaken yearly the earth is moving closer and closer to the sun, so eventually we will be thrown off our orbit crash into the moon, and then die a slow sun burnt death as we casacde into the giant star they call the "sun".

J-$ Confirmed User Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 2,090	my reincarnation theory : why do you think we've been burying bodies for years and years?? this shit is cycles...eventually the planet'll heat up, the ozone layer or some shit will allow it to be burned again and we will all die (or may be we were already dead at that point, its not important)..but even if youre not in one piece, youre still there, were all still there...so the planet'll mix up during i dont know how many years..then the dinosaurs'll come again, the planet will slowly move away from the sun, freeze again, and thats when we come in to play. so i predict that in X million amount of years, I will be making this post again on GFY without knowing I've ever done it. Cool isnt it? Useless but so are seasons and shit like that. its all cycles. __________________
