$2.16/gallon and dropping
My 20mpg SUV is getting a bit more reasonable to fill up. I have a big roadtrip coming up here soon and it will be good to know that I don't need to take a second mortgage out to finance my trip.

Still in the 2.75 range here in Cali, but dropping prices is great fucking news. Driving around an 8 cyl is killing me with current prices.

That alone helped deal with the gas prices, I'm sure that others have done similar and that's helping our gas prices come back down too. I am going to get another car for daily driving and leave the Mercedes for the weekends. I also have to use premium in that car and Premium is running me about $2.36. |

However, I think much as the fuel crunch in the 70's did it will help to wisen the public up into demanding better fuel economy from Detroit, Japan and Europe. Steve Forbes, right around the time of Hurricane Katrina made a prediction that fuel would normalize at about $1.50 per gallon. As it approached $3.50/gallon and hinted at $4.00 we thought that was crazy, but regular is a few uneventful weeks away from $2.00 a gallon and then continued moderate consumption and increased production at the refineries will help to normalize costs. I'm not an expert, i've just read a lot on this. My concerns aren't just for myself, but these gas prices effect everything, I'm sure that some websites who've seen lower member numbers as I've seen people post are feeling the pinch because that extra $20 per week was going to the oil companies and not to entertainment. |

It's about $2.08 here and it can keep falling as far as I'm concerned.
