Yes, I think it will drop to a new 5 year low too.
However, I think much as the fuel crunch in the 70's did it will help to wisen the public up into demanding better fuel economy from Detroit, Japan and Europe.
Steve Forbes, right around the time of Hurricane Katrina made a prediction that fuel would normalize at about $1.50 per gallon. As it approached $3.50/gallon and hinted at $4.00 we thought that was crazy, but regular is a few uneventful weeks away from $2.00 a gallon and then continued moderate consumption and increased production at the refineries will help to normalize costs. I'm not an expert, i've just read a lot on this. My concerns aren't just for myself, but these gas prices effect everything, I'm sure that some websites who've seen lower member numbers as I've seen people post are feeling the pinch because that extra $20 per week was going to the oil companies and not to entertainment.
