Cingular or TMobile?

My contract is up with TMobile, and am thinking about switching to Cingular.

I am happy with TMobile I guess, but who do you think is better? Should I stay with TMobile or switch to Cingular?

Forget Cingular, Ive been with them 10 years now and the last 6 months their service sucks the big one here in California. Voice mails are taking 5 days to get to me and i get dropped calls all along highway 5 from San Diego to LA.

I think the FCC are fucking with them but for sure there service stinks. Im off to T-mobil or Verizon or anyone who can supply a reliable service

My favourite story is when Sheri Santiago and I were in her room at Mandalay Bay. She's pressed up against the window, trying to keep her Sprint phone connection alive and I'm comfortably seated in an easy chair, talking on my Verizon phone.

I think it doesn't matter .. I've got Tmobile and I'm pretty happy with them .. but I've ready that there's an 80% customer UNsatisfaction rate with ALL carriers. So I'm guessing that no matter where you go there will always be things you like and things you don't like.

I'm happy with Alltel for the most part, mainly because of their 2.4mbps wireless speeds anywhere in OKC. T-Mobile's wireless network speed is about the same as a 14.4 modem. Don't know anything about Cingular as they wanted a $500 deposit the last time I checked.

I just had Cingular shutoff. We had a contract with them and it ended in June. BUT our phones never worked right, the SIM cards in the back were always getting dislodged and so on, we called, they said take them to a Store. We took them to a store, they looked at them, and I swear to god, they looked at me and handed me my phones back and said "Yup they are broken", and told me to call their 1-800 number. I did this, they told me again to take them to the store. This STARTED in January and went on for months and months on end. They were still under warranty when it started, they had records of my calls, and visits..... but when they FINALLY decided to take some sort of action, the warranty had just run out, how convenient huh?

Well...... they said they'd replace them, for $75 PER phone...after they had just let out of their face that they knew I had been trying to get this resolved since January.

I am with Verizon now and couldn't be happier, they answer my calls, not just when I have money to give them. With Cingular, the only way I could get to a human half the time was to dial into their NEW CUSTOMER number, then by god a human answered.......

Cingular sucks balls!

I actually love TMobile's customer service, they are good.

It was insane.... and this is just part of it, I didn't even go into the times when I'd have a problem with the actual service. This was just a highlight of it. lol

I love Verizon so far. I have had a couple of times when I just had a question and didn't need to jump thru hoops like a monkey to get them answered.

Started out with Suncom. Sucky coverage. Suncom was bought by ATT, coverage got better. ATT bought by Cingular. Coverage areas rock overall!

Customer service is a nightmare.

Voice mail is lucky to be recieved within 2 weeks.

Still using old ATT plan. Customer services tells me they cannot do a whole lot for me unless I change to a Cingualr plan. The same plan I got now is availble at Cingular. Bad part is it does not offer all features and for same features it is about 30 bucks more a month. Thats not the worst part. Our phones would have to be replaced. The cost to change phone is about 300.00 bucks including activation etc... They tell me no promos are available etc..

Been thinking of changing over to verizon as well.
