Asked a thousand times before I know but when do you drop a sponsor? (ratios)
Based on gallery traffic?
1:1000 1:3000 1:5000 More or less? I know there are many variables but it`s amazing how I can go from 1:300`s with one sponsor consistently yet with another similar type sponsor with decent looking content, I see 1:3000`s. Thoughts? |

How does the sponsor count hits?
1st page raw could be 1:1000, but they show 1:150 because they count ratios from 2nd page uniques. Don't just judge based on ratios.. ..unless you count the visitors yourself (the smart thing to do).. I'd say 1:1000 1st page unique raw is acceptable.. 1:500 2nd page unique is not.

The only stats that really matter are the one's that you keep, primarily your bottom line. If you could do better with the same traffic volume and a different sponsor then it's time to change sponsors. Of course if you are using revshare then it is more difficult to tell. Sponsors that don't convert as well initially may rebill very well. But ultimately it's a judgement call based on your bottom line. That's the only stat that really matters. |

The other points raised are good ones...sponsor saturation and importantly the tracking (first / second page of course). NATS set-up...can the respective sponsor change the tracking options so whether they wish to count first / second page etc.? Thanks for the input. |
