Michelle Wie really showed her age yesterday

Not so much that she messed up on Sat and thus got DQ'ed on Sunday. She clearly did mess that up. Its a dumb rule but so are half the rules of golf. They are there for consistancy.

But did you see her about to break down in tears at the press conference and she wouldnt admit she fucked up. I already am over her.

Take your 10 mil check from endorsements this year and relax. You'll end up being the best american female golfer in atleast 10 years...maybe ever.

She should have called for an official, or at least the player she was paired with before taking the drop to make sure she was doing it right and it all would have been avoided. Just young and inexperienced. With her endorsements, I doubt she is going to miss the 55k pay day.

Michelle is to the LPGA what Anna was to women's tennis.
You think she'll CHOKE on the big ones too ????

The best new women's golfer is named Morgan ... not Michelle.

I thought it was a huge bonehead move. Yes, she should have gotten an office...but look at the replace. She dropped it parralel to the bush...and then in the direction of the hole. They say it was a foot closer but i think it was like 3-5 feet closer.

But like i said...live and learn...thats not what is bothersome. Its that she passed the blame in her press conference. She more or less said she thought she didnt do anything wrong but I'm sure she's played 10 times more golf than me and I could clearly see what she did

She chose her destiny. Unlike a lot of other situations, she didnt have parents forcing her hand to go pro. She's the one who says she can win as a pro. She's the one who thinks she can beat men DESPITE NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO WIN JUNIOR EVENTS

All i'm saying is...she wants to be treated and paid like an adult...she's in the adult world of sports. So time to act like an adult fair or not

If microsoft hired a 16 year old to be their ceo and he accepted because he was exceptional...would that make the expectations of how you conduct yourself any less?

I think the real "child" in all this though was the sport illustrated reporter that went beyond his duties of reporting to become a tattle tail

regardless of the events of the weekend, only injuries or disinterest will keep her from securing a place among the elite. her skill level is off the charts, especially considering her age.

the one thing that annoys me about this is the reporter who saw the possible infraction could have said something on Sat when it happened and she would have not be DQ. he waiting until AFTER the tournament was over, 'because it was bothering him' before he told the tournament officials. at least give her a chance to take the 2 shot penalty on the day it occurred....that guys is a cheeseball!

My point is why hold her to a lower standard cuz she's young. And i think people are missing the point. What got under my skin was by no means that she messed up scoring herself. It was that in her press conference she took no responsibility...

She said and i roughly quote "If I had it to do over again I would have dropped it the same way because I thought I was right" ...there might be a few pronouns out of place but thats what she said.

And you're crossed because she thought she'd done it right and would do it the same way if she thought she was right? Boo Who.

Should she have cried and apologized profusely for cheating and vowed to never to it again? Would that have made you "feel better"?

And you're crossed because she thought she'd done it right and would do it the same way if she thought she was right? Boo Who.

Should she have cried and apologized profusely for cheating and vowed to never to it again? Would that have made you "feel better"?

How about a simple "After looking back I made a mistake. I wont make the same mistake again"

and about the higher standard....i mentioned that in reply to the people who said..."she's just a kid"

Guess you missed her next few sentences...

I really think you're upset she didn't cry over ~$55K.

I heard it all...she saved a little face at the end by saying in her last sentence that she would get a rules official from now on...

But that was after the previous 6 sentences were about how she didnt do anything wrong.

1 sentence to the point would have sufficed. It came off as ...I was right, this is unfair....next time i'll use a rules official ass holes. I mean listen to the tone. I just figured she has "pr" people already who would have told her to be short and sweet and come off likeable.

She's got a lot to learn and I dont see how you can really defend those comments...unless you guys have a little crush on her
