She took an illegal drop (by accident, not cheating). Her ball ended up closer to the hole and she didn't realize it. A reporter who saw the whole thing alerted the LPGA and when they analyzed it and realized what happened, she was disqualified. She should have called for an official, or at least the player she was paired with before taking the drop to make sure she was doing it right and it all would have been avoided. Just young and inexperienced. With her endorsements, I doubt she is going to miss the 55k pay day.

the one thing that annoys me about this is the reporter who saw the possible infraction could have said something on Sat when it happened and she would have not be DQ. he waiting until AFTER the tournament was over, 'because it was bothering him' before he told the tournament officials. at least give her a chance to take the 2 shot penalty on the day it occurred....that guys is a cheeseball!

I heard it all...she saved a little face at the end by saying in her last sentence that she would get a rules official from now on...

But that was after the previous 6 sentences were about how she didnt do anything wrong.

1 sentence to the point would have sufficed. It came off as ...I was right, this is unfair....next time i'll use a rules official ass holes. I mean listen to the tone. I just figured she has "pr" people already who would have told her to be short and sweet and come off likeable.
