Any Math Gurus Round Here?

I'm enjoying rehabing my math education. I finally got a chance to see Ron Howard's "A Beautiful Mind" for the first time and am blown away.

Any of you guys take math in school and still futz around?

Check out Pi, buddy.

And people who "do math" are like people who "do computers". They don't often futz around.

If you liked that "math movie" may I recommend the movie "PI" - it's modern, but in B/W - fantastic

Math is a great tool. I am working a lot with math right in connection with SixSigma quality initiatives and other statistics calculations. Unfortunately I am not very good at it and most of the math and what not is done by somebody else. My brain is just not a math brain, but I won?t give up.

Great stuff? too bad they didn?t teach us any of this stuff back in high school.

Heh, I have a degree in semiconductor physics & EE.

So I know some math.

Just so everyone knows - the "math" in "A beautiful mind", "Pi" and that movie with matt damon whatever that was, was all bullshit 3rd semester calculus - Triple integrals and differental equations.

But oh well, fun movies to watch!
