this is what you should eat/drink if you don't want to die young

handfull of nuts every day (wallnuts or almonds)
at least 8 glasses of water
ONE glass of RED wine
veggies - tomatoes (prevent cancer), spinach, potatoes baked with the skin, beetroot (sp), carrots, all the green vegetables
fruits - berries, bananas, apples etc
fiber shit - beans, muesly, wholegrain bread
coffee - about 2 cups a day is good for you
1 aspirin every single day
fish - three times a week - salmon and cod pref. - they don't contain all those heavy metals n shit


what did I miss?

and don't forget to watch Oprah ;)

1 aspirin every single day will thin your blood which is NOT good unless you have heart conditions.

As for fish, yes you are right but what you're missing is that FARMED fish contains a lot more of those heavy metals but it goes further than that. Salmon for example contains Omega3 Fatty Acids which are good for you unlike numerous other fatty acids.

Sounds like my diet. Even though I'm heavy, I've never felt healthier and my blood pressure is at the ideal levels.

Guys there are 5 amino acids in the meat that body needs and nothing else can bring it in. I dont eat red meat myself but boiled chicken once a week will make it.
You can replace red wine by green tea since the idea is to take in some antioxidants and both beverages have it.

You haven't been to the other side..
Of course its hard to imagine going about without something you are used to since almost the birth.

About a decade ago I didn't eat any kind of meats, be that mamals, poultry or fish for 5 straight years. Never in my life my body felt better than those 5 years. But one day I said "fuck it", got lazy and now I modestly consume meats. I eat once or twice a day and I still feel good, but nothing like meatless.

Also depending on a lifestyle meats sometimes requires, if you're in construction for example, but its a much better feeling without it, once you get used to it.
Please dont' think I'm advocating anybody to switch, just sharing a view that is so strange to most.

You are right, but I go with NO RED MEAT - I don't miss it, but eat chicken, fish, turkey etc - been "half vegan" for 5 years now

I do most of that. I do drink to much Diet Pepsi though and no wine or aspirin.

Get 30 minutes of exercise every day (even if its just walking) goes a long way to good health as well.

i dunno maybe its my body chemistry, even from early childhood i remember i had a hard time accepting/digesting meat, hence one day i decided go completely w/o it. the only thing sure is i felt much helthier, clear headed, focused during that diet time.
right now my diet is worse of all times - lots of coffee, tobacco and a meal or two a day - i like to work on empty stomach... the tobacco is killing me, everything else i can live with. so before i can go meatless again which i eventually will i have to drop tobacco, then switch coffee to green tea and then drop the meat, im sure my body wont miss it much no matter what anybody else says. im not always in agreement with conventional medical views, i dont rush to doctors for every things that not in norm, i like to train my body to take care of itself in respect to illnesses and its been pretty responsive (this of course doesnt happen overnight) before i started smoking...

btw out of many drugs tobacco is worse, imho. if you dont smoke, dont ever touch that shit! - you will regret it.

About a decade ago I didn't eat any kind of meats, be that mamals, poultry or fish for 5 straight years. Never in my life my body felt better than those 5 years. Also depending on a lifestyle meats sometimes requires, if you're in construction for example, but its a much better feeling without it, once you get used to it.

Your body need meat ... I like a good filet mignion once in a while ... but I normally eat chicken.

I eat a lot of nuts / chickpea n stuff like that ... but I still need my meat couple times a week...
