Didn't really appreciate the wit the Two Ronnies had when I watched it when I was about 8years old. Seeing re-runs they are so simple but very clever. True comic genius. A loss for all of us.

I got the dvd box set last christmas .. think its time to switch of the pute and grab the popcorn, they been airing some of his sketches on C4 news ... still funny now years on

A tribute is on BBC after the 10pm news. Fork Handles can't be played enough for me today.

Ronny Corbett: "I sometimes bring home some of my work, and my rhubarb is coming on a treat!"

Well I suppose its a British thing, most adults grew up on the 2 Ronnies etc, the 1970s were a different era for Uk comedy and even though I love alot of the gear they push out these days, their is something special about the way it was done then, I watched around 3 episodes of porridge last night and still found it funny as hell, clever as well.

Its strange - I am a bit drunk, but its unusal for me to get tearful when a celeb dies.

I think he was such a part of the culture here - love him or hate him, he was in your face every day. If you are in your 20/30s then at least twice a day!

Im not sure there are many stars in the US that mean as much to the public. Bob Hope is the only one I can think of that comes close.
