that should fix it.

Tools/options/web features and make sure you have "Load Images" ticked.
If not perhaps you bumped into some spyware. I would run Hijackthis to see if thats the case. http://www.download.com/3000-8022-10227353.html

Did you turn http.pipelining on in Firefox config? Doesn't work with many/most servers, and causes randomly broken or missing images.

I don't think this is it, but if you have the Adblocker extension installed then a filter could be doing it. I personally have ******* in my filter.... thank god.
