Is anybody converting Spicecash?

Hey, is anybody converting spicecash? (They are the fetish/asian wasteland/forbidden east people). I've sent 'em more than a thousand uniques the last couple days and gotten not a single sale. Yes, it's crappy TGP traffic, but it's nice targeted stuff I pulled off of a couple of appropriate niche TGPs.

I've so new at this I don't know whether I should:

1) Assume my marketing sucks, and change it;

2) Keep feeding them traffic until I find out just how bad the conversion ratio is; or

3) Assume they are heinously overexposed, and stop working them.

If anybody has any experience with spicecash, I'd love to learn what ratios you got, especially if they sucked.

Thanks!

1) Possibly
2) I would send them at lest another 1000 as 1000 isn't much of a test (2000 isn';t really either, but I'd give them a little chance)
3) possible, but persoanlly, you may want to look at #1 again

try posting one of the galleries for a critique (wear a cup and bring a helmet of course ;)))

Thanks for the info and advice.

With regard to how many hits is a fair test, I was wondering about that. I'm terribly new at this -- what is a good rule of thumb for testing a new sponsor? How much traffic do folks usually send before making judgment's about the sponsor's convertability?

Here's the major gallery I've been using to send traffic to The Wasteland. Approximately one in a hundred page viewers is clicking through to the sponsor tour; but so far, none of them has signed up.

Flame on!

Oh, yah, I should point out that my sample gallery uses sponsor content and will be out there for awhile, so I'm not actually going to stop sending traffic to this sponsor anytime soon. However, I am trying to decide whether to pull some other links and banners from other galleries and put that eyeball space to more productive use.

OK,
firstly, all your images are broken in Netscape (they show up in IE fine, but won't show up in some versions of AOL (you have spaces in your image file names)). Even though AOLers are a pain in the ass, they are buyers...this is why I keep my gallery designs fairly simple...

Your ad text is quite frankly boring...it doe nothing to compell me to click...you have a good start with the series pics, but why not a little text under each thumb telling the story? Build some excitement...if I do click on your text link, the tour I see doesn't match your content, yet your text would imply that I should see the rest of this series at Wasteland...Wasteland has been around for awhile, so there may be a bit of overexposure...You also promise full penetration bondage sex, which is a false claim...that's considerd obscenity (especially in Canada). So, anyone signing up for your sponsor looking for that, won't see it and won't stay a customer for long.

As a surfer, I want to know what your sponsor offers that I can't see for free where I just came from...get me excited, tell me about all the video and love cams, tell me about streaming bondage videos, talk dirty to me...learn the lingo of people that are seriously into bondage.
Wasteland, the site, is a very strong site for people that are really into the bondage scene and know their shit and can spot a phony a mile away.

Keep the background color of your gallery black to match the site you're sending the surfers to...take note of the sponsor tour...they brag about "as seen on..." add that shit to your gallery page...tell them how popular this site is for bondage purists...know your sponosr...use tidbits from their tour to sell them...you want the surfer to get the impression that site is yours and you're not merely an advertiser for the site trying to make a few bucks off them...sell the fantasy...

hey, is that Dave Atell in those pics? ;))) kidding

Wow, Sykkboy2, thanks for taking the time for the detailed critique. It is appreciated.

The spaces in the file names will be gone in the next version-- I already discovered that they don't work with a variety of gallery submission scripts, although I didn't know about netscape.

I never thought of the little text under each pic, even though I already wrote it -- check out my alt tags. I very much like that idea.

I'm not sure what I can do about the fact that the tour does not show the same things as Wasteland provides for free content -- I mean, the Spicecash people say this content is available on the site to paid members, but I haven't wangled a free pass yet so I can't personally vouch for the claim.

Oddly enough, the full penetration bondage sex thing is not a false claim. The rest of the free content photoset does contain the goods, although spicecash asks that the harder core stuff not be displayed except on an AVS site or behind some other semirigorous age verification.

Obscenity law is tricky stuff, at least in the U.S. The rules of thumb the industry uses here are more cautionary than firm -- and my guess is that spicecash is pushing the edge on this one because the female model is so clearly having run, there's no risk that a discerning adult would think this was a real rape scene.

Again, my thanks. If nothing else, you've convinced me I need to do some better galleries before concluding that this sponsor might be lame.
