Just like all business owners they feel their businesses are worth a bit more than what the market thinks, but that is natural as it's their baby.

If a buyer was willing to give you 6-18 months worth of net revenue for your sites/business would you be willing to sell? Is there a magic number you have in your head that you will not sell for anything less? Also would you agree to a non-compete if the buyer met your price and had it in the contract?

Just an F.Y.I. my magic number is 1 billion dollars ;)

Good thread I have only made my own sites and bought others. Not sure if I would sell or not.

Yes, I understand.I would not like to sell it to a non seo.
My traffic has survived every google dance in one form or another. The good thing about having a large network is that while some may take a drop others rise to the top to take their place.
In the right hands my network can make a lot more than I am making at the moment.I am bound by the fact that I am a one man band and lack skills in every webmaster department except for seo.No fancy scripts like WG and I can barely use dreamwevaer well enough to put a site up.

Charles, its getting late in the afternoon here, I will hit you up tomorow sometime.

Certain things in my network just cannot be priced. Slow and steady usually wins the game, not one shot deals.
But the one thing that this thread did do... was inspire me to step my game up.

That's all, thank you.

Sounds good. Would be easier to buy a whitehat network than building one from scratch.

In adult I think your looking at a lot less than the normal 18 months net. maybe 3 months gross revenue. depending on what type of assets you have.

i would sell everything in a heartbeat if the price were right. i would look at anywhere from 6-9 months revenue as the price. and i would even sign a temporary non-compete, say a 1 year agreement.

why? because every dime i make i pump back into my network and have been steadily growing it for two years. i've never taken any money out of it. so if i sold i would finally have enough money to move onto my next bigger project

Any big TGP (100k bookmarks or 500k+ trade traffic a day) who wants to sell for 6-18 months income, hit me up ASAP

I wonder if Bill Gates would sell Microsoft for 6 months revenue.
Bill Gates can't sell what he does not own.

Wow that post for a big TGP is amazing. I would think SEO traffic is ten times better then TGP. I will stick to my smaller deals.

SEO traffic is 10 times better than TGP traffic, maybe even 25x better but TGP traffic is 100 times easier to get

Never thought of selling, but tried to calculate the value of it. I would want at least 12 months revenue + $$$ for domains, content, DVDs & consulting.
