yes thats right EACH resident is Alberta is going to recieve a $400 cheque TAX FREE before christmas, there has not yet been a ruling on how long you have to live in Alberta for to reviece it. i have lived here for 20 years so i am not worried.

this is a message to all other lazy provinces out there, maybe instead of electing officials thats whole purpose is to help the lazy and poor your province would be better off.

this is an open message to the french, stop being lazy and whining about Canada and for once GET A FUCKING JOB.

we pay out HUGE tax dollars to all the "have not" provinces and we still are getting $400 EACH.

why? because Albertans work and do not complain. its something that other provinces need to realise, instead of catering to the lazy and poor we cater to those who actually WORK for a living.

Compared to Ontario and Quebec your province doesn't have a hell of alot of people. And as for the poor. Alberta exports them to Vancouver because it is warmer. Toronto because there is more opportunity and Montreal because housing and public transit is realatively affordable.

With all that surplus beef sitting around in your province why didn't the rest of the damn country see any of it? We heard poor beef farmer after beef farmer cry the blues about not being able to get it south of the border.

But in the meantime there was no great influx of beef headed for Nova Scotia, Quebec or Newfoundland. And the huge trading block of the E.U. didn't get any extra either.

Fuck if there was some intelligence in the redneck goverment. Mr. Ralph would have lead a group of beef farmers on a trade mission to China or some other nation.

But you guys prefered the old "We are working hard to get the border re-open" line from your moronic goverment.

Alberta has apparently the 2nd largest oil supply in the world, thats where you 7 million dollar surplus is coming from. If you want a quick comparison, just look at the status of unions in Alberta versus Quebec/Ontario...

Alberta does not have as many cheap labour workers getting paid $30/hr to stand around with a shovel in their hand....

and union workers, as we all know, are bad for the economy...

The problem with Alberta is there are so many uneducated rig pigs who didn't need to even graduate high school to get hired in the field, then worked for several years & now make huge money. People who would still be doing hard labor in any other province are the people with power here.

For the people who say Alberta is rich solely because of the oil, you should talk to any of the "liberal" programs that were slashed for years to try & bring our defecit down. Teachers, health care, social assistance programs - everything was cut. Now it's paid off & the money is starting to flow back in, but there are a lot of people who struggled during the "belt tightening" phase.

Actually Klein made that offer years ago before before welfare was cut in BC. Klein stated that if you want to live on welfare then go to BC and aparently 300 people actually went. The Premiere of BC at the time - Glen Clark - wasn't impressed but I thought it was pretty funny.

Alberta has apparently the 2nd largest oil supply in the world, thats where you 7 million dollar surplus is coming from. Alberta is a "have" province, thats why there only a federal tax and people who live in Alberta are rewarded. I guess all the other provinces are lazy though?

If you want a quick comparison, just look at the status of unions in Alberta versus Quebec/Ontario... Alberta does not have as many cheap labour workers getting paid $30/hr to stand around with a shovel in their hand.... and union workers, as we all know, are bad for the economy...

People who would still be doing hard labor in any other province are the people with power here. For the people who say Alberta is rich solely because of the oil, you should talk to any of the "liberal" programs that were slashed for years to try & bring our defecit down. Teachers, health care, social assistance programs - everything was cut.
