Britney Spears sparked speculation she had gone into labour four weeks early when she was allegedly rushed into hospital last night (11.09.05).

The pregnant singer was taken to St John's clinic in Santa Monica - prompting US radio stations to rumour she was about to give birth to her first child.

It was also reported that husband Kevin Federline, mum Lynne and sister Jamie Lynn accompanied Britney to the hospital, fuelling the baby rumours. However, the pop babe's spokesperson, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, has denied Britney has given birth - saying she will have the baby by Caesarean section later this month.

This is not the first time the mother-to-be has been rushed to hospital during her pregnancy.

In April, she sought medical help after suffering premature separation of the placenta from her uterus.

A month later, Britney was taken to the UCLA hospital in Santa Monica complaining of stomach pains.

Meanwhile, Britney recently revealed she is considering calling her baby London.

The stunning star has revealed her top three names for her unborn child also include Sean Preston, if it's a boy, and Addison Shye for a girl.

She said: "Ever since I was a little girl, I thought for a boy I love Sean Preston - I love that name.

"Or London Preston. Isn't London pretty? And for a girl, I love Addison Shye. I think that's pretty."
