:stoned Anyone got a Paycom account recently?

We opened a Paycom account two weeks ago and they're stalling us with artfully vague messages. I wondered if it's just us or if anybody else is having the same problem at the moment?

Their compliance dept has approved our sites and they've set up their scripts on our server. That all happened quite quickly. The problem is that they haven't sent our username/password, so we can't log into the stats / settings. One day they say we'll get the password when the account is activated; the next day they say it's already activated. One day they say they have a problem with their system and they're very sorry; the next day they say they've sent the password to us 3-4 times and I must have a problem with my e-mail address. (It's the same e-mail address I've been chatting to them via for two weeks.)

They take 24hrs to reply to each message, so it's dragging on and on.

Normally I'd take the hint and move on, but I've heard good things about Paycom from other people and I really want to accept Switch/Solo.

Has anyone else got a new account with them recently? Any problems? I am curious to know whether they do have a general problem with their system (maybe one that they are not keen to publicise), or whether we're very unlucky. Maybe we just have the worst account manager there or something! It'd be good to know anyway.

>>> Nothing is ever easy

You can say that again! Now they are saying that there is no way for them to get my password manually, so they have to get their programmer to hack into the system!!

Madness.

I'm enjoying this post just that I know that we are not the only one. Different problem though but besides that the system works real good and they pay on time, every single time

Its not just you... I sent them an email for a new account a few weeks back and never got an answer.. So I called.. That got the ball moving..

It always takes epoch 2-4 weeks to get the full process done.. If you have only been waiting two weeks then you need to wait about another 2 before you start to get worried.

British Twinks,

First, an introduction in case you don't know me. I'm Rand with Epoch, Paycom, and Paycom EU. I've been working with the company since 1998.

I'm sorry you've had anything less than the service or promptness you expect. To clarify, you are speaking about Paycom EU and not Paycom USA.

Paycom EU is a new company and officially launched just weeks ago. Many of the procedures for setting up a new account for processing have been streamlined for new EU accounts and if compliance matters are okay, then the activation of your account should be fairly swift.

That being said, Paycom EU has apparently had some problems with email. I would suggest using a confirmation receipt with your correspondence if your email client supports it, and always CC your account representative when writing to any other department. This should help speed things along. Should the need arise, please feel free to CC me as well. Rand @ Paycom EU (dot) net. It is in everyones interest to get your account processing as quickly as possible.

If there are situations which simply need clarification or you experience anything less than the level of service you expect to receive, I insist on hearing about these matters immediately. We will take care of you.

Thanks Rand.

Your programmer has succeeded in getting my code and I have just logged in - it works! Yay! Hooray!

BUT he also revealed that Paycom EU will not send out checks to my affiliates because I am not in the USA. The salesperson who sold me the account specifically said Paycom EU would do that.

It looks like I won't be able to use the account after all.

What a waste of time it has all been.

BT - Although it is true that Paycom EU is not *currently* issuing checks to affiliates, we are working on solutions to that. We should have additional news about this before the end of the year, and possible much sooner.

Keep your contract handy.

You've had me jumping through hoops for two weeks and then told me you can't deliver what you originally promised. Do you really think I'm going to keep my contract handy?

You guys are a joke.

No we are not a joke. If you take a look at the programs who use Paycom EU you will see that we are very serious.

You either got bad information or there was some misunderstanding. That's all. I'm sorry that it happened but that's all there is to it.

I no longer work for ePassporte, but I can't help but point out that they would be an excellent if not ideal solution for you to pay your affilaites. Since you are doing a 50/50 rev share payout your affiliates could get paid weekly at much less than the cost of a wire and with a lot less hassle than receiving a check.

The bottom line is that one of your salespeople approached me and offered me a deal which you now admit you can't deliver on. You may think that's ok; I don't. I guess we just have different values in that respect.

If someone who works for one of my companies made a mistake and unintentionally misled someone, I'd pick up the phone, explain what happened and make it good. I'd do that partly because it's good business sense and partly because it's just the right thing to do. You can fudge the issue all you like: the fact remains that you went back on a deal and failed to explain why or reassure me that it's not the way you normally do business. It's a shame.
