I could personally give two shits if anyone copied our stuff...LOL

Coming from an Architect background, I was inspired by Wright and Gehry and plenty of my work reflects design concepts and influences by them. So did I copy them? You bet your ass I did. The biggest compliment you can give an architect is to "borrow" their basic fundamentals of design.

There is no shame if anyone is/was inspired by any of our designs. I take that as a compliment...LOL

Note: Although the colors are similiar and the header has the same flavor, I personally don't think it is a direct copy. Both look good and I'm sure they perform fine.

Some key colors are pretty close but I would say they are ripping you off.

we never copy nor would we ever copy such a site

When I found the link to this thread in my mail, I got pretty amazed that someone with such a "basic" site could say we copied (or got inspired) when designing Mom's a Slut site. I never post on the boards, but in this case I've decided to post my 2 cents here...

First of all, these two sites have far from each-other. In overall quality, in types used and in complexity too.

PublicNudityExposed site has far from quality that would be acceptable by webinc.com. If a designer which such skills would apply for a job here at webinc, I would never let him work with us - simply because we're always trying to bring top quality to our clients.

The public nudity design uses default Photoshop presets, which is yet another thing we DON'T ACCEPT. Designer who's dependent on the default gradients and bewels has a lot to learn... outside webinc.com.

Also, it seems the designer who was doing public nudity site was in a rush, since he forgot to place outlines on the 'Nudity' in logo while he used an outline on the 'Public' word (not even considering the poorly incorporated photos) - all this seems pretty incomplete to me...

On the other hand, we spent quite a lot of time with the logo, which suggests a question: would someone who played with every detail and spent a whole day designing the site's main style and layout would try to steal from someone who spent maximum 1 and 1/2 hour on a poorly designed logo and header?

We have very strict rules here in our company, one of the main is to never copy anything from anyone outside webinc.com. One of our main advantage is that with over 1,000 sites we have designed up to date, even our newcomer webinc designers have incredibly big field for inspiration from our internal sources rather than from some of these cheap immitations.

Get off your fucking high horse, who are you to come in here and bash around his site... Ya your site looks good, just like his does. Other than looking "nice" you site design is a cookie cutter to almost ever other site on the internet... Just from that attack I think you did copy it.

Boy,

You better learn a little respect when talking with a man.

My Rep. in this industry for the last 11 yrs online is great...

Peter is our project manager and runs the whole design team. He took the time to explain the differences in the logo, etc. I am no designer so I can't talk in those terms but I trust his word and Judgement 100000%

I never challenged your "11 year rep" I was simply stating that there was a much more tactful way to discuss the 2 websites, and if your a professional, you would know that!

He had no right to say those things, im sure their designer worked just as hard building their site.

Oh yea, I almost forgot, I will talk to you however I see fit... got it?

Been in the online porn biz since 94?

Well tough guy Peter explained it the way he wanted too. As he said in his post he doesn't ever post on boards but felt the need to this time.

Yeh, I have been running adult sites / stores, etc on the net since early 1994, started with usenet ads, then online, etc.

Before that - got out of the Army in the late 80's and then ran early 90's ran large adult bbs systems, adult cdrom distributor, etc.

With the Laugh / smile - I almost thought you didn't belive me

Hi Ibanker,

I didn't see you post any sort of comments to Peter's post or an Apology, etc. I would of thought you would have by now.

At least Alex tried to show a bit of Grace

Thanks

One of our main advantage is that with over 1,000 sites we have designed up to date, even our newcomer webinc designers have incredibly big field for inspiration from our internal sources rather than from some of these cheap immitations."

First of all, these two sites have far from each-other. In overall quality, in types used and in complexity too.

Well, I was backing off the whole thing, but fuck that.

Amp designed that site. I will put it up against anything you have. You arrogant piece of shit. Get off your fucking high horse and suck my dick.

Warm Regards,

Chris

Agreed, and to think I wasn't even making a big deal of it.

Go back to school Newbie
And "peter" can go fuck himself. Do you really want to take this to the next level?

You come back with a bullshit explaination that just attacks my designer after 50 people in this thread say the can see similairities? So you bash your own site you designed at the same time? Fuck-tard.

Who gives a shit about an outline on a logo.....christ you are a moron.

An APOLOGY????

Are you on crack?

Where the fuck do you get off?

I'm done with "grace" for today. Everyone that knows me when I post here knows that I don't bullshit, and furthermore, would apologize if warranted. Dickhead.

hahaha, so your drama "thread" back fired on your ass hugh?

Peter said it as he saw it.. You can accept or choose not too.

Don't ever come around trying to impude our rep or such things, even in a "innocent" questioning way Chris.

Of course if you had of been a real professional you would of emailed, called or icq'd me at first..

of course you chose the low road.

You will learn in time I suppose.

And you want to talk about MY professionalism???

Nice post by one of your employees.... very nice.

I like the part where you admit some fault.... oh.... wait... you didn't. Typical. Keep lying to yourself and eventually you will believe it I guess.

Look all I think it's safe to say that all designs are inspired by other sites that we have come across. 99% of the sites out there a spoofs of others. I would have to say this weginc design was inspired by jasonandalex.com's PNE. It's part of the biz for sure. It can't be avoided. No biggie! We've all had some sort of foundation or idea to work from. Chris just happened to make a point and that was it was "inspired". It's more complimenting than anything.

Jason,

I hear you on some points but I will have to disagree with you on the Inspire part.

Our designers never saw that site before it was made. Probably never untiil this thread...

Thanks

Todd

Still no comment on how you guys bash out site design (which Amp did for us), but everyone sees the similairities?

Dammit. Why do you have to bring sensibility into GFY. J/K.

I'm done for the day anyhow. Got box seats to the Charger game tonight. I'll get back on tonight if I'm not to haggared to see if STK is back on his high horse still....
