I wonder if this will make people in a 1st world country appreciate the tsunami more.. and empathise about it more.

The only real difference is people have resources such as boats or other devices that float + houses that won't wash away.. though the speed of the tsunami would of been much greater..

Does New Orleans have a large black population? Most of the people are of black people, or perhaps only the poorer areas were actually devasted? It's a fact that blacks have less money than whites.. so I'm not pulling shit out of my ass.

80% of the town is under water but as to racial make up it is 28% white to 70% african american.

The town / city I was in has 6% black population, and 80% of the pull-overs / stops are black people... nice crazy stat there that racial profile exists.. and this is in Canada.. except this town / city is a piece of crap conservative town which will slow it down... except it's corrupt enough that the rich people with old money will keep it alive...
