All from different people. It's a sad statement to think that this is what people today are most interested in seeing.

There's many different kinds of violence. The Japanese media and Japanese culture in general regard violence as a stylized form of achieving catharsis while maintaining relative peace and order. In a sense, the ultra violence of manga culture expiates individual angst and isolates it into a relatively harmless, albeit horrific, format. Other cultures view violence differently. Maybe there's something to learn there....
