A Typical Day in My Life

A reader of my personal blog asked me to post an entry describing a typical day in my life. Here's what I just posted:

A reader asked me to make a blog entry about what a typical day for me would be. I like the idea, so here goes:

I usually wake up around 8am. The first thing I do is... well, you probably don't want to know. Let's just say I'm "regular". The second thing I do is go straight to my home office and turn on the computer. I check and answer email, read a few message boards, check out some of my favorite blogs, catch up on the news headlines...

Then I begin my daily Donny's Girls update. I have a script that updates my member's area 5 days a week at 10 am PST. I can schedule it for updates 3 weeks in advance. This comes in handy if I'm going on vacation. But if I'm not out of town I prefer to do my updates the very morning they'll be added. This allows me to make a last minute change on which model I'll be adding, just in case a member has to have some particular model. I value my members (duh! they pay the bills) and try to give them what they want. In fact, the majority of my updates come from member requests via email, on my message board, or in a blog comment.

After the update has been completed I add the model to the Donny's Girls latest updates page and also to the Donny's Coeds blog. Both of these pages are powered by blog software, and because of them I rarely add nude photos to this blog anymore. Keeping the titties on their own blogs helps make Donny's Ramblings a little more work safe and reader friendly. I figure people can check out one of those updates pages if they want to see boobies.

With the blogs updated it's time to listen to voicemail and see what heavenly hotties have called wanting to show me their bodies. I take down their phone numbers and any information left on their message (I generally delete the calls from males) and enter the data into my iCal in a special section. This allows me to quickly find the info anytime in the future. After recording all the new data I begin scheduling appointments. Calling prospective models is the most annoying part of my job, but it has to be done. I've hired others to do it for me but I've only found one person who can get the results I need on the phone, and she has now graduated college and works in the Bay Area. So I'm back to doing it myself. I repeat the same information and answer the same damned questions several times per day. I'll find an open appointment time on my calendar and invite the new models to come in at that time for an interview.

Once the day's interviews have been scheduled it's time to get ready for our noon photo shoots. 3-5 days per week we'll shoot new photo content of models. Lately we've been doing a lot of video, too, because I think members are going to want more and more of it in the future. Besides, we have a new, large client who buys content from us and they want a lot of video. These videos I refer to are all softcore, stripping style videos. I still won't shoot hardcore. Oh yeah, we refers to my fiancee (Belinda) and me. The two of us work together very well.

Usually during the shoot I'll run off to my office to get some work done on the computer while Belinda finishes shooting. She's a great little photographer, better than me, and is also learning to shoot video content rather well. On the computer I deal with affiliates (people who send traffic to my websites and receive a cut of the sales that result), clients and customers.

I also waste a lot of time posting to industry messageboards. Belinda chastises me about that.

Usually, our shoots are finished by 3 or 4pm. More than 3 or 4 hours of shooting results in a tired model. Interviewing new prospective models begins around this time... earlier on days when no shoots are scheduled. I'll interview models up until 8 or 9pm if necessary. They are what makes my world go 'round, after all.

After that I'll take my laptop to the living room and surf the wireless internet from my chair while watching something on TV. Somewhere in the day I'll have run to my mailbox, out to coffee at Starbucks, and perhaps to lunch/dinner with Belinda. We also love going to the movies.

I can't seem to stay awake longer than 11:30pm to midnight. I'm out like a light the second my head hits the pillow, particularly if my attempts on Belinda's body have been successful. She stays up a bit later watching some of the late shows and surfing the internet.

And there you have it... a typical day in the life of your friendly neighborhood pornographer!

3.) if i have to go to the bathroom i just piss/shit myself because i don't want to leave any possibility that i will miss the icq message of "can you please post in this thread"
4.) when i get the message, i quickly post in the thread
5.) if i am hungry... fuck it.. don't want to leave any possibility of missing the message... and the fact that i don't shower helps attract flies and bugs so i eat them for protein
6.) i lay down on my bed and try to think of ways to make myself more effecient at bumping thread... i.e. getting to the computer faster when i wake up...
7.) repeat

edit: maybe i'll actually write a serious answer when i'm less grumpy

well, I get up at about 9am. That is about the time my wife gets home. She is a nurse and works nights (don't ask me why, but she likes it).

My days are so boring, lol.
I wake up and start coffee, then take a shower and get dressed. I see my son off to the school bus, then start breakfast for my little girls, who usually wake up when they smell something cooking. They eat, then they play while I check my emails, stats, and offline ims.

I try to run any errands I have next, because the kids have full bellies, and are well rested, so doing errands with two toddlers will be as close to painless as it can get, lol. Then it's home, where I usually set them up with a Disney video and just do some surfing or housework that they can't help with.

Lunch is served, and then the girls get a bath, but it's usually just a playtime bath. i can see the tub from my desk, so I update JOJ and learn, learn, learn things I am researching online. Then, sometimes the girls get naps..depending on if we went out or had a busy day or not. That's my time to veg out. *grin*

My son gets home around 3pm, so I talk with him and since the girls are usually waking up around then, they have a snack, and then they play some more. (Must be nice to be a kid, lol.) I usually play with them, or we all watch a movie, or play a game, or whatever, just to spend some time all together.

I start dinner and we eat, then the girls get their REAL bath. My girls are at that age where they like to help, so when I do houseowrk (always in the evening so they have less opportunity to muck it all up again, haha) they usually "help". My son gets his time online then.

My son and I watch our prime time shows together while the little ones play, and the girls go to bed around 9pm. My son goes to bed around 10:30-11. That's when I get bored and start playing on the boards usually, lol, because I have no one to talk to then. I don't sleep well, so I often stay up until nearly daybreak.

Sometimes we mix it up and go have dinner at my brother's place, or hit the beach after dinner, when the sun isn't so bad on the little ones. But we are mostly homebodies, lol.
