No problem on the questions, I like to share. You get some nice ones and you get some jelouse ones. But overall I have had the same friends for the last 25 years, including Marty here. I think when you have the same friends forever and they are there for you good or bad. That means a lot.
I can't say others are nice because who you are or what you have. I guess you might get a few, Marty, what do you think on this question if you are reading this.

B.C.

Edge of the motherfucking earth.. .

The red dots are where I was lost, the right dot should actually be up and over further though.

Winter getting dark, alone on the 250R on reserve tank, no lights, no cell or radio transmitter gps etc, . ..uhh yeah.

RESPECT MOUNTAINS and never panic, I was marking dead ends and killing the engine to coast on downhills to conserve fuel. Finally making it back I was almost scared to look in the gas tank at home.. . maybe 2-4 ounces if that.

From 10 years ago till today, working hard is of course your biggest mission. We got more employees bigger offices but our work got more and more. I am at work everyday and work, then come home and work. It's hard now but I have seen a lot of guys doing it.

There are so many programs to promote, or do them yourself. Just need to hang in there and not give up. Like when I use to race cars, they used to tell me I just need more seat time, well in this biz, you also need seat time, to sit behind this computer and do what you can best, I am always learning something new everyday.

First off, i appreciate the acknowledgement,

As to the jealousy factor, that is something most people cannot help but have unfortunetely.

Having money makes you really realize a lot. Its a wild ride, and most off, it isnt as pretty as it may look from the outside.

Yup, Marty and I go back a long ways, and have been friends for 25 Years or so.

He was one of the first pioneers in this industry to set up the foundation for what a lot of webmasters have out there today. It's a long story, maybe we'll get into it someday.

Actually, I was a lot more comfortable when i didn't have the big bucks.

Once you get the wealth, maintaining it is the hardest part. You never want to go lower as a man, you constantly want to progress. Sometimes that can be very strenuous.

Good question, but I would have to say nothing.
Except maybe bought an office building rather then leasing but we always new we would out grow it.
Who new real estate would have gone so high.

when you were starting out your business and extremely busy, did it have a really big impact on your life?

personally i've put a lot of my life on hold to try and make something work, i was a really outgoing person and was the kind of person to be out 24/7 with friends etc... now i can't even really enjoy myself when i'm out because i feel like i need to be working or doing something productive... and i only hang out with a few friends now... i think the only thing keeping me sane is having my girlfriend and her being really comforting when i'm stressed....

Will do, the domain those pics are on was a popular board but mysql errors owned me twice both times right after hitting the 1k member mark, restores were fucked too due to the errors it sucked. I don't know about databases but hear postgresql is the hot ticket. Im still a .txt man.

Sucks I still have the VB lifetime license etc, we had shit like the first ever quad backflip pics exclusive right after it happened etc.. .

Huh, funny you should mention that... there was an article I read recently (I believe it was in MacLeans, a canadian mag) where they said (paraphrased): "The income level for optimum life satisfaction seems to be around 50k/year. At that point you're making enough to be comfortable without anyone jealously trying to knock you down, and there's plenty of room for future growth. Below that and you're still struggling, beyond that and you get caught up in the endless pursuit for more."

Wish I'd known that when I was at 50k/year. Kinda late for that now.

Hey, thanks... stumbled across it and said "Ha HA! It must be mine! I will have it!"

It's a bit large-ish though. I might have to trim 'er down some.

... and thanks on the other thing. As you might have guessed I've got someone (well, a couple someones) on this side that are 100% completely new that I'm doing a little ground-work for. Tales of bootstrapping into the industry are exactly what I'm looking for, for use as educational and inspirational tools.
