Imagine if an adult company tried to get away with this.

I have a membership to a mainstream site and I was trying to cancel it today.

In order to cancel you have to complete a survery.

However You can't complete the survery because Question #3 doesn't have any radio buttons for you to select your response, so you get put through an endless loop telling you that you must complete the survery in order to cancel.

So now I'm sitting here on hold waiting for some dumb ass operator to handle it for me.

I always hate dealing with RealNetworks. I get the season pass for Big Brother each year, and you can easily sign up with a couple of clicks if you are using the same card from the year before, but to unsubscribe you have to wait on the phone then they apparently aren't allowed to unsubscribe you until they go through several different angles to try to convince you to stay.

People always think of adult as being scummy, I think adult is probably cleaner than a lot of mainstream companies and their billing tactics.

Oh I tried to fucking cancel a recurring YAHOO membership... I tried to get out and an error came up saying "We could not process your request, try again later" and it did this for WEEKS. I just did 4 chargebacks to say goodbye

I tried cancelling a Napster Membership 6-7 month ago, I was on the phone for an hour, and while I didn't do a chargeback, I did have to contact my cc Company and have them stop further payments.

I agree the only way to cancel a audible membership is you have to call thme and sit on hold.

AOL is the same way. Some dickhead arabic guy named "joe" (bs) tryed for about an hour to get me to keep my membership. Fucker even offered me 6 months for free. Every time I said "NO THANK YOU! CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP!" he would ignore it and keep talking.

last week i withdrew $20 from my paypal atm to wash my car and when i was checking my statment it showed that the bank one atm charged me $300. I was on the phone for hours with both paypal and bank one, neither wanted to do anything about it

Paysites should say a phone verification is necessary and ask the customer to choose when is the best time to call home to complete the membership cancellation

You guys forget about AOL and their old cancellation policy. In fact, I believe they were sued in a class action lawsuit and lost.

You couldn't cancel online (still don't think you can) and they'd literally put you on hold for an hour or two to cancel. I remember just staying with them because I couldn't stand waiting.
