I have moaned about this and at Video Post quite a bit but I am going to give a flipside now as I think its only fair having bitched at them again in this thread.

Firstly, since my argument with VP before when they went from 1 each day to 1 every 2 days I have had a significant increase in galleries accepted so in reality they have been good on what they said. The only ones that have been rejected were due to resolution size which is a silly mistake on my part that should never have occured.

Secondly, in my experience the reviewer is not being a dick and just seems to be following the company line. I do appreciate though that we will all have different experiences but in mine, the guy is fair.

Thirdly, they let the submitters know this time so although its not welcome news at least you know in advance.

Now is it worthy of $100 per month? Time will tell, however its not just a case of will I make the money back on the VP listings, but more along the lines of can I get more bang for my buck by purchasing say another Worldsex/Al4a pass or maybe a mix of a Mature Post, a Marks Bookmarks and a Richards Realm?

Those are the choices facing a VP submitter now. No-one doubts the quality or the sheer amount of VP traffic but as with any business you must weigh up your potential risk versus rewards before you decide where to invest.

I did get some good traffic from video-post. He listed me in the top 3 links a few times in my 2 months with him, which brought in prolly around 100k hits each.

But with the implementation of every other day posts along with a 150% increase in the cost, its not worth it.

For me personally he listed 50% of my gals. So, 15 days MAX of posting, that'd be 7 galleries for $100.

After the bw bill, thats not worth it.

I wouldn't buy it at $100/month unless it brings some real good traffic.

Yes I know, so then you'd have to be in agreement that the increase isn't justified... if their other sites cost less and are cheaper.. mind you, they've lowered prices on other sites, meaning no one was renewing because they weren't making money or enough money to make it worthwhile..

I wouldn't doubt it, and I'm keeping my mouth shut about a lot of things Mark I'm sure probably worried/worries about or he'd become another person I'd have to hide from.

You can play favourites, and you can't stop that, and you can't deny that; whether it's you, or the site owner, you / they pick the positions, and they can easily put their own galleries or their friends galleries up top.

You can't deny that, it's simply logic.

Actually, we have a script that juggles the positions of the links. GTS enteres them and the script randomizes the positions before it sends them on to my reviewer :)

pretty much any tgp that sells submit passes uses a script, and they arent going to waste any of their time going through and reorganizing galleries based on who they like better after the script makes the list.

Bla bla bla you can't compare apples with bananas. The only thing that counts is the amount of signups you end up with. There are so many factors before that - like cost of the pass, size of the site, number of clickthroughs to galleries, sponsor clickthroughs on the galleries, how many galleries you are allowed to submit, how many actually get posted etc etc

My gals (5 submission a day) get listed everyday at TrafficTitan and I only pay $100 a month. Nuf said.

No I don't get a discount. I would consider myself friends with Mark but I'm sure that doesn't help me. I don't know Video-post at all.

I do take the time to make good, clean galleries though. I was getting accepted about 50% of the time under their own system, and that number is in fact rising just as promised from submitting only every other day.

I make more than I pay for my Video-Post partner accounts, even at $100 per, and in the end that's what really counts I guess.
