why do programs launch when they are not ready ?

I have been looking for several new programs in the past few months to promote and nothing is more
dissapointing then signing up to programs and going into the webmasters area to find empty or really lacking a) hosted galleries b) content
which is extremely important .

Advice , if you are not ready to launch your program you should keep
it in beta until you are . There is nothing worst then seeing a
half ass program come out with nothing to use for promo materials.
The majority of webmasters will give you one shot and
you'll be damn lucky if they return to your program for a 2nd look

good question. i have found the same thing with some "content providers". they are "new" but really don't have much to promote.

talk to the program owner... he may give you a pass to get content or free hosting...
all u have to do is ask... never judge a book by its cover.

Asking for access to stuff others might not have isnt "grunt work." Its an advantage. I'll submit all day if I have content that others don't. Oh yeah, and it's true about the beta sites. Mad signups on those. You're pushing never before seen stuff. It's hot.

Allot of webmasters dont need promo material. Not everyone relies on TGP's you know. A really good placed text link will do wonders.
But I know I cant tell anyone on GFY that..

you want to convert traffic, do something different then the other 10,000 people .. have any of you taken a look at TGP's recently... they are nothing but the same exact content posted by 100 other webmasters to the same million tgp's. You can make good money, using the right site and some well placed text links or a banner.
How do you know what the right site is, well you test them, join some programs, advertise one site at a time and see who converts the best for that paticular traffic. Dont get mad over not having a million pics to post to the same tgp's ... do something different.

bottom line is you NEED to give out content no if whats and buts.
A simple link may work on your book but not for many others .
There is a reason why there are certain programs + sites you see on tons of tgps. Those affiliate programs are
VERY SUCCESSFULL and know what they're doing when your shit is saturated don't think these programs
are not making bank and saturation of sites is not neccessarily a bad thing .

Name one highly successfull program that does not offer free content , galleries , banners ... promo materials in general .
Plz don't say mumbojumbobucks.com i'm talking about a well known program here ....

Major aspects of a site not working does suck and should be addressed before launching. But we're all human and occasionally make mistakes. Just don't give up and be willing to give a program a second chance, even if it's a few months down the road.

I agree that early notification about a new program or site is great and making sure the all the content exists is extremely important

The guys who send me the most sales don't ask for content. I offer a FEW galleries but not tons. I think that is a bad idea to give out so much free content but if a webmaster does need some extra, all they have to do is ask.

best thing for a sponsor to do is give access to their memeber area, so webmasters can get exactly what they want, it works for bangbros

The best affiliates never ask for 1. Hosted galleries (waaaay over saturated very quickly) or 2. Content (they prefer to use their own tried and true content, and usually their own tours also).

And that's why they're well into six-figures each year, and not posting threads on GFY asking for things that aren't needed. ;)

Having no free hosted galleries or content doesnt mean the program is half done. Nowadays with the 2257 it's not likely that any new program gives out free content to any affiliate just like that. Besides that if you're a serious affiliate, all you have to do is ask.

using their own content and their own tour.... get real. why would they need to promote someone elses site with their own content and tours? you must be thinking of avs sites. i dont think anyone in this thread is referring to any avs programs.

Get real?

Want to see my tax returns beemk?

I was describing myself ace, to a tee. Sounds like you've been too insulated at PW, living off the paid listings people like myself provide for you. Would love to see you swap places with me, force you to submit/pay for listings and see if you could beat me in sales. Doubt it.

Bottom line: Unless it's exclusive content, or a solo-girl site, real gallery pros don't need a typical sponsor's lousy tours, and lousy content. And as you well know, we use our own tours so we can still get PPS commissions at the "console" level instead of the $25 "no console" tour that every TGP forces (assuming paid gallery listings, which is all I do).

Feel free to ICQ me anytime Beemk, I can continue your education as you seem a bit out of touch with the real world. And also feel free to verify anything I've said here about myself with Parney, or GTS, they'll be happy to give you the 411.

Look before you leap next time my friend.

i buy lots of paid spots myself. i dont promote anything without exclusive content, theres too many good sites out there to promote some crappy non-exclusive sites. i only buy spots because its extra income, i will take free traffic over paid spots any day. and most of my sales come from search engines. you absolutely know nothing about me if you think all my income comes from paid pinkworld listings.

good points, some sponsors are still in the dark and wonder why no one will push them with their shitty tours and shitty content on tgp traffic

Actually, they can have one or two. Just enough to keep most people from listing them.
