Dirty Dane, good, detailed advice. Much better way for a newbie to start out in this biz.

maybe the Hun should comment on what he thinks about people using proxies and submitting 6 times per day? lol

and since this is a business, I am sure the guide was intended to make money either of referrals or from new clients who will buy gallery designs

if not, then why would someone very succesfull suddenly waste 20 mins of his time to help newbies and create even more competition for himself ?

Sigh... it's people doing crap like this that fuck things up for the honest webmasters. He tries to be fair and give everyone a chance to get listed, and thehun is one of the only larger tgp's that still accept free submissions... Show a little respect.

And for fucks sake, WHY would you post that on a message board?

All public proxies should be detectable I imagine... I doubt if people go through enough trouble to set up private ones.

ok, but in order to do what he says (submitting to the hun) you should be able to use the same proxy every 4 days, meaning that this should be a 'permanent' proxy
if you do that through aol can you 'get' the same ip address every single time?

just curious, I don't do TGPs if that makes a difference to anyone

I don't do TGPs either but "most" places don't block aol proxies even when they block proxy traffic. AOL only has a few hundred IP's for millions of customers so if you block them you alienate a large chunk of American surfers. When you sign off aol and then back on you pull an new IP from their list at random, lets you get around most any script blocking proxies.

Exactly... this is the reason so many TGP's have switched to partner only. Too many scamming low lifes that mess it up for everyone else.

Akira, first of all thank you for the kind word in your post about GTS and Nichespots. We appreciate it

I might make a few suggestions to help the newbie TGP submitters some more money and also keep some more money in their pockets.

a) buy domain name $8.88
(absolutely imperative good suggestion)

b) get hosting, webair, bluegravity, splitinfinity are just few that come to mind
$100 or something hosting plan per month is a good start
(great suggestion, I don't know how many times I have used a freehost provided by my sponsors and 6 months later find out that they dropped the ball and the server I was on crashed for 2-3 days and all the traffic I had built up with gallery submissions completely went into the toilet. No one likes paying for costs they can avoid but this is one cost that is absolutely necessary, shit the hosting prices these days are so low it's almost a joke. I would highly recommend Mojohost, Nationalnet and Jupiterhosting.)

c) install good free CMS, like Mambo www.mamboserver.com (pay someone to install it for you, once installed is very easy to manage) - This is essential, it offers great versatility, it's free, it has tons of free components like forums, blogs, gallery makers etc etc.
(I'm not really familiar with CMS or Mambo sorry, so I don't have much advice to give here)

d) Buy partner accounts, $300-$600 for this is enough per month, http://www.nichespots.com/ and GTS http://www.gallerytrafficservice.com/ are pros in this area I think
(I can't recommend this enough! HAHA!! Ok I am a bit biased obviously on this but if you picked up some great paid partner accounts for like $40 a month that will generate tons of traffic for you. All you need is one sale per MONTH and the partner account is paid for in full. As for paid spots we have some really great deals on spots right now so I would suggest you give us a shout at http://www.gallerytrafficservice.com and we would be glad to go over the various options with you)

e) Buy content, 30 sets x $30 = $900
(I don't think in this day and age that buying content for gallery submissions is really necessary. Plus on top of that I think surfers want to see more of the content that was in your gallery so if they sign up for the site they expect that same girl that was in your gallery to be in the site. If he/she's not they will most likely cancel more quickly if not immediately.)

f) Buy gallery submitters like http://www.chameleonsubmitter.com/ and http://www.dreamsubmitter.com/ - round $30 per month or something
(yep I would totally suggest these submitters, I have heard very positive things about dreamsubmitter)

g) Buy TGP gallery templates, 30 x $25 = $750
(30 templates might be a bit too much, I would say buy 5-10 good templates from an experienced designer, don't use the hosted gallery templates as every other webmaster out there will be using them too and you won't get listed as quickly)

h) Dedicate 1 week in filling all 30 templates with content, so you will have around 30 galleries now
(once you start building galleries everyday you will become very adept and whipping them out more quickly. In the old days I could make galleries like a champ, however quantity is not as important as QUALITY. Make sure your screen shots/pics are so damn clear you can see your reflection in them. Make your screenshots very large and EXTREMELY clear. Perfect Gonzo is a great example of a company that uses fantastic galleries.)

i) The rest of the month, submit those galleries. Submit to your paid partner accounts, but use the Database that comes with Chamelleon Or Dreamsubmitter to submit to the rest of the TGPs out there.
Every 4 days submit a gallery to www.thehun.com - your content of 30 galleries will last you for 3 months. If you are smart and use proxies, several domains on different Cblocks and different email addresses you can submit up to 5-6 galleries to www.thehun.com daily but this requires like 10-15 hours per day until you get well accostumed to the practise.

(yep absolutely, make sure you submit each and everyday. Do not skip, good things take time and you need to make sure you get the maximum amount of submissions in per day without pissing off any site owners. As for submitting to the hun make sure you do not piss him off. He knows every trick in the book when it comes to submissions to his site, do not try and circumvent his rules or you will find yourself in the blacklist very quickly.)

l) Use sponsors with Free trials, $1 trials and $1.85 trials
(I don't know how relevant the free trials will be to sales, I am sure more people will sign up because it's free or close to free but still I think people sign up to sites because they think the chick/guy is hot and they want to see more of them. My suggestion is to give them exactly what they want and make sure you deliver them exactly what they are looking for)

n) Make galleries with 2 x 300kb movies and the rest 12 or so pics, 800x600
(the movie size has to be alot larger than 300kb to get listed. Generally sites like the movies to be 15-20 second clips and at least 3-4 movies per gallery.)

Anyways I hope this helps a little

DH

Thanks DrinkingHard for proving most of my keypoints correct and thanks for further elaborating on each one. I was only trying to help everyone cutting down on the bullshit and rounding up lots of articles with over 500-1000 fancy words in them..

As for everyone pissing and shitting about thehun suggestion, it's not cheating. It's just a sacrifice on your end. You want to feel guilt free? Make the damn gallery and hire a mexican to submit it for you, there you go...

OK I wasn't gonna say it untill you went redneck in your own thread. This has got to be the most "written by a newbie" sounding newbie tutorial I've ever seen. Totally not that easy. Lots of sig for you but no newbie is gonna get anywhere with this tutorial.

The only good point about this tread to remember and act on is yes.... use GTS.

TheHun says "1 site every 3-4 days".. so yes.. it is cheating. He also says he wants to list different people every day.

So you are basically telling thehun to fuck off and are stealing traffic from him that he doesn't want to give you. Way to build a solid business relationship with someone.

Why don't you let us all know any TGPs etc. you have so we can hitbot your sites and do the same thing to you. Then you can come on here and tell us all how it's not cheating.

While no plan is perfect and every plan has its pitfalls, I think this is a pretty good step by step roadmap for Newbies to get started.

I am bumping the thread because its the first time I've seen it and I gotta say its a pretty good message for Newbies. At least gets them started in the right direction...
