damn that is an awesome car.... sad that I know for a fact that it's something that'll forever be out of my reach. Sucks. Just once... just once

Oh well, still... I'll never own expensive art either... same thing at this point.

What a peice of shit that car has turned into.

SO many options in that price range, why anyone with a clue would buy one over the other options is amazing.

The car looks like shit.

I've had C3, C4 & C5 vettes, but I dont care too much for this C6.

But I didnt really like the C5 when it first came out either, even though my 98 ended up being my favorite car.

Uh, why is it only making 505 HP with 7 liters of displacement? Typical American cars damnit, motor capable of moving an aircraft carrier that's nowhere near pushed to its potential out of the factory.

I'll admit, I'm biased. I've always been into the idea of making more with less. One day when gas costs more than an m60 on the black market, and manufacturers are finally forced to start using ingenuity instead of engine size to create power and performance, then, I'll be happy.

Edit: I should also say, those manfacturers would pretty much constist of any American, British, or German company.

i agree, new M5 makes 507hp from a 5 liers,if they had 7 liters motor it would run over 700hp

With the price of this car they are going afer the Ferrari market.

Ford has a Mustang coming out next year for half the price of this Vette with the same horsepower.

I will admit, however, this Vette is a good looking car.

7 liters?

Im sorry but that is a 427 RAT motor. Chevy horsepower comes in cubic inches not pepsi bottles.

The difference between cubic inches and liters is that people can actually imagine how much displacement an engine has if they're told it's 7 liters.

I think Chevy is making a huge mistake to market this engine as anything but a fire breathing monster 427 RAT Motor. I understand completely what you are saying but IMO Chevy should ignore the metric world abroad and focus on branding and marketing the motor as part of racing history. They ought to put the number 427 right on the side of the car. Chrysler is largely in the black right now because of their astute marketing of the Hemi (and not 6.6 liter V-8).
