Does a songs remind of a certain time in you're life?

Does a songs remind of a certain time in you're life?

Like the first 50 cent song remind me of high school every single time it comes on the radio. Other songs remind me of other time/place.

And if i hear "dj tiesto - adagio for strings" on xm it reminds me of GFY. ext ext.

Anyone elce do that?

Yeah. A lot of the old late 80's songs give me flashbacks.

Same for some of the early 90's stuff. I was around high school, college age. I remember a lot of the shit songs they played at frat parties as well.

"Hey Mickey" comes to mind.

Absolutely - sometimes stuff I can't remember on my own, so it's pretty useful and neat.

The Cardigans - Long Gone Before Daylight

Track 1-5 on that album reminds me of one of the best things in life.

50 Cent was like 3 years old when I graduated HS

Disco was full bloom when I was in high school, so I don't hear many of the "hits" from those days on the radio. Blinded By the Light (Manfred Mann) and Rich Girl (Hall and Oates) always reminds me of a big R.O.T.C. road trip to Pensacola because a bunch of people brough radios and those 2 songs played nearly constantly. The first Dire Straights album reminds me of navy boot camp because we all chipped in a buck to have a radio for the barracks and it had a tape player and that was the only tape in the building (to this day I hate their music )

A lot of the punk/new wave stuff through '81 reminds me of a club and the friends I hung out with in Norfolk Virginia.

There's a few 90's songs that remind me of various things. Would go through some but I gotta go run play taxi driver for a couple of family members

Any of those old tunes from MTV "Jock Jams" cd's, reminds me of Spring Break '89 and parties at my fraternity.
