How do I connect 65 webcams to a single PC?

ok, not 65, but more than one - like four or five
Has anyone done it?
What webcam (make), software etc did you use?

The refreshment rate doesn't really matter, it can refresh once an hour for all that I care...

I had 3 cams on mine once. I just had them in the USB ports though. Then you just select what cam you want to use in each app.

what make were the cams, do you remember, I just read that the cheapest ones can not broadcast simultaniously(sp) because they use the same Windows driver

Go for Logitech. I always had problems with other brands. The drivers are also no problem with Logitech.

I don't recall the model of the cams, but they were all different. I think Windows can have problems if they are all the same model. It thinks they are just 1 cam. This was back with Win98 though, so I don't know how valid any of that is today. And I never actually tried hooking up two of the same model.

yup, I did some more reading and looks like you're right, there're few cams from the same model that can work simultaneously, and Logitech QuickCam 4000 is one of them, and that's what I'm going to buy

Just get a bunch of inexpensive cams and run camsplitter software Allows them all to be run simultaneous on the same driver.

I just want to setup one webcam session when I am shooting content for people to watch from a protected area. Just need to get it together and get it done.
