Epoch x CCBill
If you were starting your first paysite, which processor would you go with?..
And tell me the reason why you'd chose that one (most important!)!

We chose CCBill for our site.
Easy setup, no Visa fee for CCBill EU, easy to get affiliates promoting you since they can merge their excisting account.

it would depend on what i wanted to do. epoch is great for cross sales, upsells, and cancellation emails offering better prices to cancelling members.
ccbill is good for affiliates - their affiliate program is simpler, has more features and much better stats. both are good processors, and both have paid us for years with no major problems. |

Paycom is Epoch is Paycom.. Its like the egg and the chicken..
As basschick have said, both have their pro's and con's... Both are trusted processors. Epoch could have better integration of all admins and options available to site owners. (psst.. And somebody should do some redesigning for their sites... CCbill: there are a whole bunch of possible affiliates who refuse to use CCBill because they say their overal ccbill stats suck.. It could cost you business.. Right now, thumbs up for both processors... |

Paycom has been our primary processor since 1997 - CCBill our secondary since 2001. Can't go wrong.

Another solution would be to have a custom solution in your country and have hand POS checking with 24 hours delay. It would end costing a lot less and you'll get most of the sales, but it is worthy only if you have a member base already or some security on acquiring it fast ![]() |

honestly I dont know why epoch dont change their admin to a modern one, with click tracking, referrer tracking, etc...everything the affiliate needs these days...Is it that hard? If they did, I would check them immediately.

While we've always used CCBill as our primary processor (since 1998), Epoch/Paycom/eP is a great company as well, with very fast, friendly and efficient customer support

We get more sales with CCBill.
Epoch declines are nuts, jumping all over the place.. CCBill is nice and steady. My rebills are stronger with CCBill too.

I find Paycom scrubs a bit harder, and I like the admin on CCBill better. Plus I find the telephone support a bit better on CCBill then Paycom. Even though it's a phone jockey answering the phone at least I can talk to someone and have them fix a problem on the phone, instead of having to email support, and "hope" then answer. But maybe that's just me being impatient

I have CCbill and Paycom. I like CCbill better, they have better tech support and nothing is going wrong with their programs. On Paycom, someone has messed up somewhere constantly and they never fix it. I have one month non recurring memberships that have never expired because someone forgot to put in a parameter in (whoops) and they have been working on that all this week and they still can't get it right. It's like "who's on first" scenario. On CCbill, if anything goes wrong, they inform you and at least their tech support is knowledgeable.

Lol... After seeing the first replies I thought Epoch was the way to go.
So I sent them an e-mail 20 hours ago now. Still no replies. Now that I saw ALL the replies, and after not getting any kind of e-mail reply from them, I think I'll go with CCBill. ;)

Damn, CCBill is winning, swaying my choice also as I had been leaning towards Paycom.
I keep referring back to the post last month where someone accurately mentioned that "All Pay per signup programs seem to always use Paycom. All lowball revshare programs seem to always use CCBill. There's something to that." While everyone cascades, it does seem true that the hotter, bigger, programs I've checked that are doing massive numbers feature Paycom in the primary spot. About 8 out 10. This might be another GFY special, where small time webmasters who need hand holding are dominating the poll and are being vocal to try and help, while the big dog program managers who know the drill and are seeing the biggest revenue all silently sit on the sideline waiting for another drama thread to pass the time in instead of actually giving us this "big secret" lol

My favorite is when Paycom customers log into GFY after getting no response from Paycom for over a day, bitch, then have Rand or someone else immediately login and say "GFY is not Paycom customer support, guy" with that exact smart ass tone.
Made me hesitate. While they're right, GFY isn't, they need to understand that sometimes it's all you've got baby. And it gets results, as the Paycom fast response on the board proved. sonofsam: That would be great, keep us informed.

Tranza - You've got me on ICQ now. Glad to know that someone from sales already got back to you.
Mako - There is a time and place for everything. Even going off. Anyone that knows me knows I'll go the distance to help anyone big or small. Some things, however, are just ridiculous. I address things publicly when it's called for. But there are proper channels for everything too. I'm not a smart ass, but I did have a point to make. There are some things we do better than CCBill and visa-versa. A lot of factors go into what works best for your traffic. I always recommend cascading between the two of us. (Epoch as a primary, of course CCBill is a fine company and each program should do what works best for them. I've been with Epoch since 1998. And so have a lot of the sponsors out there. This list could stand to be updated but it's a good place to start if you're looking for programs using Epoch.
