If you are ever buying a yacht, hire a pro to go in a check it out or else you can get fucked over.

I'm sorry but that boat definitely sucks.
Real players like me let their yachts be built here: http://www.amels-holland.com

Unless you're going to be on it all the time, I'd recommend thinking twice. The upkeep on those things is more than most people expect, it's a nice status symbol but it's not worth it.

Just rent one when you want to go out.

Well he states the same boat with a smaller engine is $ 1,450,000.00 EU. I figure with 2 years usage & EU taxes not being paid yet, he's probably going to be happy with a reserve of $ 1,450,000.00 USD (or 1.5 million).

those arent 2 mln, Ive been in the boating biz for ages (taking care of the gensets etc) and this one will sell for 600-700k euro, the Italian yachts arent that pricey, its all poly and you gotta like how theyre made, if you wanna spend 2mln check heesen, theyre top notch recognized all over the world and dutch

too big for my tastes. id go with a nice 30' to 40' SeaRay that's got all the cool toys on it. Depending on what type of boater you are, you may get more enjoyment out of a smaller boat, especially if you are into fishing and and exploring different marina's and cove's.
