Dont you have that much in your wallet right now? :winkwink:

Thrawn$ 06-08-2005 10:44 AM

a half million bid on ebay :(

life is hard for us normal people

tony286 06-08-2005 10:44 AM

375000 would be my guess, but remember the real costs are mantaince and getting a crew. You need a captains license to sail that.

tranza 06-08-2005 10:45 AM

Damn! That's a sweet boat!!

Why don't you ask the seller what the reserve price is?

Trax 06-08-2005 10:46 AM

pimp j
very pimp :)

smut416 06-08-2005 10:48 AM

Thats a sweet boat. I would suggest emailing the seller to get some feedback from him, talk to him, anything just short of asking "Whats the reserve" Important to let him know you are a serious bidder. Good luck Lens!

Machete_ 06-08-2005 10:51 AM

I would say 2 mill... but why is a guy selling that kind of expensive stuff on Ebay?

KMR Stitch 06-08-2005 10:53 AM

Lens here is a trick to do... If the auction is 495,000.00 What you do is bid 10,000,000.00 Then It will automaticly go to the "reserve price" then do a bid retract ASAP and say entered the incorrect ammount.

KMR Stitch 06-08-2005 10:54 AM

Correction make it obvious your "finger slipped" so make it 45,950,000.00

Tango 06-08-2005 10:54 AM

reserve would be well over $1mil

also problem - no Internet - need to get it hooked up on satellite :winkwink:

ROYTAGGER 06-08-2005 10:55 AM

Go for it Lensman...

JFK 06-08-2005 10:55 AM

You want one of those ???? Might as well just stand on shore with bucketfulls of money and dump them in the water. The two happiest days of a boat (yacht) owners life is the day he buys it and the day He sells it :winkwink:

FunForOne 06-08-2005 10:56 AM

I bought a boat on ebay last year. Great deal.

I'll sell it to you if you get that one and need an extra life preserver.

my cock just tingled when i saw that

Rinaldo 06-08-2005 11:06 AM

why ebay?
LOL... boat trader has the best offers as does autotrader. Atleast then you can go see teh vessle before you offer any money and it's negotiable.

Lens it's a nice looking ship, Not my cup of tea though, I prefer Sportsfishermans, Rybovich and EggHarbors

BukkakeBrown 06-08-2005 11:08 AM

I worked at a marina for 3 years when I was younger. You'll spend a million a year just keeping it up. :2 cents:

why dont u email the seller and ask what the reserve is..

btw that's one sweet boat

KRL 06-08-2005 12:46 PM

The thing with boats is this. If you live in a place like South Florida where you can dock your boat behind your house (assuming you live on the intracoastal) or at a nearby marina you'll get to use it a lot. Even then, most guys I've known that got into larger boats end up wanting out after a few months because of everything that's involved in keeping a big boat like that maintained and they gradually end up going out less and less each month.

If you won't be able to keep it close to home, then don't bother. You'll never end up using it enough to justify the costs and hassles.

Much better thing is to join a boating club where you just show up and can take out any of the club's boats and don't have any of the headaches to deal with. Or even better make friends with people that have boats and you can go out on theirs.

Its an expensive hobby too. One friend of mine was spending $6,000 a month just for his docking fees at a local yacht club.
