Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

What if a non US webmaster posts hardcore content on a domain with no whois info? What if they change the whois info to the sponsors name? Who do you think is going to be called when there is a problem. No matter how much you complain US sponsors will do as suggested by their lawyers. Better safe than sorry. |

I hold absolutely NO animosity towards program owners that are making these decisions because they see it as the best legal position to take in order to protect themselves, their models & their affiliates. It's the guys inconveniencing hundreds of foreign webmasters in the name of 'not leaving their US affiliates at a competitive disadvantage' that irk me. I don't want anybody to risk jail-time unnecessarily. |

On a personal level, I benefit from every sponsor that makes affiliates retroactively go back & change their pages, that doesn't mean I like to see it happen. My business also benefits each time a US affiliate or US sponsor gets thrown in jail or has to go through a lengthy trial in both the courts of law and the courts of public opinion, that doesn't mean I like to see it happen. You should try it sometime instead of your 'I would never use any sponsor that put [me] at a competitive disadvantage' position from the LS thread. |
