myVirtualCard Announcement

To the GFY Community,

Effective IMMEDIATELY, myVirtualCard has decided to cease processing for underage modeling sites.

As stated last week, we were in the process of removing these sites. By Midnight tonight (12:00AM Eastern Standard Time, May 28th ), we will no longer process for these websites. We have asked all merchants dealing with these sorts of websites to remove our pay buttons from their webpages, and any other affiliation with myVirtualCard. As of midnight tonight, all underage modeling sites will be terminated.

myVirtualCard has always been and continues to be committed to the adult industry. We will continue to do our absolute best to service our clients. We would also like to reaffirm our commitment to be a trusted and reliable force in the adult industry.

We would like to thank the GFY community for voicing your opinion, and we welcome your comments and questions on the matter.

Regards,

The myVirtualCard Team

Great move guys. We're more than happy to see that you have reconsidered processing for these sites and are making a move in the right direction.

It was easy money as long as you stayed under the radar. After some negative attention on a big board a couple of times and people dropping you you suddenly change your policy.
How sad.

If noone has brought you heat here you still wouldve processed for sites with 8 yr old girls you sick fuckers.

Fucking hypocrite pedos.

That is incorrect. Our plan has been known for many months to get rid of these merchants.

Well i think its good you guys are taking a stand now. I'm not sure your credibility will get any better for a few years though..

From following the links lee posted , it becomes rather obvious mvc is the main processor for these type of sites ( legal , maybe , sick yes )

So by closing those accounts you will obviously be losing a big profit maker, so that in itself says VOLUMES to me. and kudos for the move..

Many times peoples views do not follow the LAWS.
IBILL STOLE people's money ( illegal ). Yet gfy still advertises them
MVC processes sick sites ( legal? ) yet gfy pulled them. ( dont get me wrong i agree with the move )

It just shows that "legal" and "illegal" dont really mean much in the business world , its all about the money.

MVC realises they will make more money by NOT alienating the rest of the world by processing questionable sites

Maybe it is all about the money.... but I like to think that at least some of people, some of the time have morals as well.

MVC have been rebilling upto $99 a month for this shit.... Thats a lot of cash to lose.

We asked them to stop and it seems they have...... Maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt this time

If it was just about the morals , they wouldn't have authorized the sites to begin with.. So its obviouslt not about morals..

I will give them a chance , but its going to take awhile.. first we have to wait and make sure they didnt just make another company name and tell all the pedo sites to switch to the new company..

I can recall 3 other major processors that 3 years ago or less were processing for same sites. That's for those that weren't around or have short memories.

oh my God, are you their spokesperson

1: Why did you do it in the first place?
They probably needed someone to proccess their own underage sites.

2: Why did it take months to stop them?
They need the money... It's obviously a company not built for long term..
Who on the right mind would use CP to build a business name...
They sucked the funds out, thats obvious, but tarnished their name in doing so... Can you say no college degree?

See ya'll users later when GFY posts announce MVC are not responding, errr are nowhere to be found

We have been in business for 3 years; if we were not built for the long term, we would not have gotten rid of these merchants. With regards to your comment on our education, that is patently false. If you want to talk further with us about our longevity, come drop by our booth at InterNext, or come see us at the show in San Diego.

We stand behind our name. We regret that we made some poor choices, but we are here to fix it.

Anyone who is looking for a 3rd party processor should talk to MVC. We have been using them for about an year and so far their services has been nothing but great!

1) The nature of the business we took on is not illegal. The modeling sites we were processing for are not considered illegel, though some people consider it immoral. This was in no way CP or KP , because if it had been, our banks never would have approved these sites. As I have already stated, We made a bad call.

2) As I have explained in earlier threads, we had to slowly phase out these merchants, lest we risk excessive chargebacks etc... If we would have killed their billing on the spot, the merchants could have potentially asked their clients to file a chargeback. We have been getting rid of these merchants slowly for months already.

It took nats to get you to stop, you say you been wanting to do it for months, but since announcement you've done it immediately? and you been slowly getting rid of them, name some sites you have slowly removed? lol

Have you ever seen how these sites are promoted? I have run across them, its a bunch of fucking childporn keyword top lists promoting undersaged teens
then they might have some non nude content pay site... thats fucked up that you are pleading ignorance and legality. you dam well know it's tied to KP

If their promotion is illegal how can their site be? the content may be legal, but definatealy not how its marketed..

i'm glad they did the move to get rid of those sites. i know the guys at MVC are standup people, just doing some stupid decisions at the beginning which they probably regret now. but they treated me always well, so i will give them the chance to build their reputation again.

Effective IMMEDIATELY, myVirtualCard has decided to cease processing for underage modeling sites.

We would like to thank the GFY community for voicing your opinion, and we welcome your comments and questions on the matter.
This is a perfect example of how the adult industry polices itself.

Why did they do the sites in the first place? Because they are not in the US, and the majority of their surfers are not in the US. MVC is a huge processor for European countries. They are one of the few that can handle just about any form of payment imaginable. In Europe there are literally hundreds of different debit cards, debit accounts, etc and MVC was the first to add them all.

So why did they do it though? Because in many other countries (particualarly in Europe) these sites are actually low key. As in softcore to the max. In some countries it is ok to post full nudity pics of children. They simply don't have a concept of it being CP. So when sites come along where the girls are still clothed it is almost rediculous to them. But to us in America it is only a step away from illegal (actually much of it is illegal because we have laws against children being spread eagle even when they are clothed).

So lets stop asking if a thumbs up is actually a flip-off in Japanese culture or a wave is actually a fuck-you in Norway and be thankful they stopped and now you all have an awesome way to collect funds from fucktards in countries with an antiquated debit system!

Look at the big picture folks, now you can work with these people and open up markets you couldn't touch before!

2) As I have explained in earlier threads, we had to slowly phase out these merchants, lest we risk excessive chargebacks etc... If we would have killed their billing on the spot, the merchants could have potentially asked their clients to file a chargeback. We have been getting rid of these merchants slowly for months already.
You mention you were phasing them out, for risk of charge backs, however as soon as Nats announced dropping you, you dropped all the sites immediately. Are you not still worried about chargebacks? and will this effect the stability of your company? That's alot of money to lose over night.

Don't take my comments the wrong way btw. I tip my hats to you for the bold move, it's not an easy move for any company to kiss that kind of revenue good bye over night.
