Yes, i know another 2257 question, but this is a little different.

I own adultxmodels.com it is NOT an agency, it is like OMP but just for Adult, it has been running for over 2 years.

Does anyone have an idea how this is going to affect my site? i have over 1,300 models who have profiles on my site, they have anywhere from 1-25 pictures of themselves posted in their profile. Am i now going to have to contact every model for ID's since they are posting pics? Do i need recods of all these pics they are posting? the site is not viewable by the public only by members.

What do you guys think? any idea on this?

The part i am confused about is, most models post pics they either took themselves or got from a TFCD shoot. Models do not have documents for their pics, how would they produce these??

One more thing, if a model has her "boyfriend" or "friend" take pics of her, or some even post web cam pics if they are new, where are they going to get documents for them??

if you refuse to get a laywer and are dumb enough to trust everyones word here and other boards for the survival of your company - then best guess is "yes" you will need every single friggin ID for all models on your site and you will in addition have to digitally tag each picture to your records along with keeping track of all websites that have any of your pictures that you either allowed or sold on them.

Dude, you need to unwind a bit! I am not trusting a chatboard for answers, i was looking for peopls opinion of this situation, isn't that what these boards are for??

I have a lawyer, i just wanted to see what everyone thinks about this, doesn't mean i am going to do what everyone says.

In my opinion you would be a service provider and therefore exempt. That doesn't mean they are exempt, just you. I would ask my lawyer about your liability (if you are considered a service provider) and if that is still exempt under the new regulations.

I agree with that, i am doing that already.

But i just know how hard it would be to get ID's and release from these models, mainly because they are posting porfolio images, so they do not have releases, the photographers tell the models you can use our images for promo, or they shot them themselves.

Get a lawyer - some of the images, while not containing nudity, may be of a sexual nature.

We already and have always monitored the pics they post, but as long as they are legal images we let them post it. It's their portfolio, they show what they do, but i guess now we will have to be like OMP and only allow certain photos.

that's a tough call - I am not sure if sites like OMP and yours are exempt - bulletin board operators like Lensman with GFY are exempt but they have to be very careful.

It seems insane that a girl would have to keep 2257 documentation on herself
but i have a bad feeling that's exactly what they will have to do. Can you imagine the lunacy of sentencing a girl to 5 years in prison for failing to keep records on a site that is nothing but pictures of herself?
