Internext 2006 LasVegas Stay at the Wynn LasVegas.

Just got back from this place last week... It doesnt look all that special from the outside, but the inside is one of a kind.. Im not sure if they have a convention hall yet since its so new, so having INternext actually at the Wynn may not be possible, but if you can Id reconmend staying there for Internext. For one, The Mandlay Bay sucks and Ill never stay there, why Internext is there over the Venitian is beyond me, but staying at the Wynn will make Vegas feel like Upscale Vegas if you stay there. Its AWSOME.

IT almost has that feel of the Belligio but with different colors and if you can imagine more upscale.

The rooms are great, much higher quality and detail than the Venetian or Belligio where I stayed last year. From the lower end rooms to the higher end rooms the detail in them is something you'd expect only high end rooms to have. Has a great feel to it.

The shops are a man's worst nightmare especially if you have a wife or Gay lover with the taste of finer named products..

I dont think ive ever sweat in nervousness in a shoe store before but the Manolo Blahnik store did just that. Especially when your woman "just loves everything she shes"

The place is amazing. And dispite what it looks like outside its fucking huge.
The gaming is really no different than say the Belligio or Ventian.. And I wont lie the hookers are much better at the Mandlay and Venitian than the Wynn.. But give it some time.

In terms of Shows, if you like shows like Mysterie, and O at the Belligio and TI you'll fucking love the show here at the Wynn. Its called LeReve and its similar to those shows yet so much different.. Different in a better way. You are in a smaller more intimate setting. Real close to the performance. Almost like you are in the show. You can feel it. ITs simialr to the shows at TI and Belligio, but its different and better in its own ways. I suggest that if you like shows, make a point to go to this one over any others next time you are in town.

I really loved this place.. And I had a lot to compare it to.. I was in the Venitian for 3 nights comped with betonusa.com a VIP trip if you will. Had a great time and a great suite as the Venetian is known for and many of us Internext goers have expierenced... But aftewards for 3 more nights after this trip I stayed at the Wynn.. And it seemed like we were on a totally seprate trip.. Refreshing if you will..

For you strip club goers it can be compared to going to Cheetahs one night, and then the next going to Spearment Rhino... Its just cleaner, fresher, newer..

If you havent been to the Wynn or stayed there I suggest the next time you are in town do so.

I only wish we could have internext there.

Venetian is my favorite hotel in Vegas right now, I think that might change after staying at Wynn.

Only problem is The Wynn its on the total other end of the strip than the Mandlay Bay... I can only assume Internext will once again be at Mandlay.

Last year staying at the Bellagio for internext, it was a pain in the ass going back and forth..

I swore to myself that I wouldnt stay at a seprate hotel other than the internext hotel again, but then I keep remembering Internext is at the Mandlay Bay not the Venitian anymore.. That Mandlay Bay just doesnt have the same feel or appeal to it as the Venetian did for our shows.

I just can't break down and stay there. I really dont like it..

At all.

And the Wynn is easily within walking distance of the Venitian.

But not much..

And come January Internext time, you can bet it will be about the same price as the over rated and over inflated prices of THE HOTEL at Mandlay Bay, and Mandlay Bay itself.

Hopefully Internext will be elsewhere than the Mandlay Bay next year..

Even somewhere like Casears would be better.

Or back at the Venetian.

I stayed at theHotel at Mandalay and absolutely loved it. Really upscale and seperated from the rest of the hotel/casino property. I doubt the show will be moved for at least 2 years, I recall AVN tends to sign their hotel contracts for at least 2-3 years at a time. At least that's what I remember.

Actually it doesnt really matter where its gunna be, Im probably not going to be at internext anyhow..

But im tellin you guys, go check out the Wynn come internext time.. You'll love it and price wise I bet it equals that of the over rated and over inflated price of Mandlay Bay come Internext weekend.

Yep Ive stayed there too. I love all the Plasmas everywhere...

Unfortuanatly not everyone can get a room there during internext. I know I couldnt.. That left me with paying way to much to stay at Mandlay Bay (not THE HOTEL) or the very nice but very expensive four seasons..

And the Luxor was out.. I have sensitive skin and the fleas and bugs in that place really get to me.

So for those who want something different at a good price stay at the Wynn is it..

IF I recall correctly the prices at THE HOTEL were 2 times more than normal weekend rates.. At least when I looked. THen when I looked again they were sold out.

I hated Mandalay Bay as well... I don't know why the fuck I didn't change my reservation and went with theHotel... that place was like a hundred times better than MB
next year I will stay there as well... going forth and back everyday btw wynn and MB for example is no option for me....

The Venitian is usually $500+ for a Saturday night

Lower 300's to mid 400's or so on a busy night for a standard suite.
Under 300 on typical weekends.

and if you recall those little mandlay bay rooms for last years internext were inflated to prices close to that. Non-Suite.

I tried to go to the Hotel but it was too late and sold out...

And staying at Mandlay bay for those prices for a standard room were just crazy..

But truthfully staying far away and traveling in and out of the show from another hotel does kinda suck.. I was hardly at the show..

But for some people that doesnt really matter. If you are a first timer at a show I suggest you stay at the same hotel as the show.. But if you've been to dozens of shows, dozens in Vegas, not hitting the show floor during the show everyday, all day is a welcomed relief.

Im totally excited to stay at the Wynn. I normally stay at the Venetian and on my last trip I stayed at the MGM for UFC 52. Wynn was opening like 2 weeks after I left so I didn't get a chance to check out the casino.

Heard good things about the Wynn. Is it true that VerizonWireless is the only cell service that works inside the Wynn??

Room service.. the only thing we found that they didn't screw up was chicken strips. They were obviously pre-breaded and frozen. Can't screw that up too bad. Pancakes were either undercooked or overcooked. I could go on and on. Many of the restaurants there are only open from 5:30 until 11pm and their menus are on the eclectic side. I had .pdf files of the menus emailed to me prior to my trip.

My last few visits have been at the MGM. I enjoy their food both restaurants and roomservice. It's also right across the street from my favorite steakhouse, Gallaghers.

The current issue of Time magazine has a great write up on The Wynn, and Wynn himself. Good pics.

The main idea behind the hotel was to create a place to stay in Vegas and feel isolated from Vegas itself. Some place calm and relaxing. They even built a mountain in front to hide the strip

What's wrong with staying at Luxor or Excalibur for the Mandalay Bay Internext? It's close enough (and not by foot), cheaper and ok rooms ...

Hmmm..
I wished we had tried the in house food more.

We stuck with what we were familar with and ate mainly over at the Venetian.. We did have one lunch at the Wynn though.. IT was pretty nice.. Nice as in great settings and very luxurious.. Similar to the resturants at the Bellagio.. But the yum yum quality was lacking..

When im hungry as hell it seems we always end up at the Venetian to eat..

LOL..

I guess the Venetian will always be my favorite.. But the Wynn is a real real nice looking place.. And that show they have was just AWSOME!

I really like the feel and look of this new Wynn. Its very very very nice.
