Can you design on a laptop ?
Any designers work with a laptop ? Thinking of installing Photoshop and learning a few tricks.

Ehm, why wouldn't you be able to design on a laptop? Screen size issue?

I have a Dell and I use it for just about everything. The docking station is a nice addition when not on the road, or when I want a regular monitor.

You CAN, but it's a bit difficult.
Doing design on a 17" LCD and going to my laptop's 1680x1050 took some getting used to. |

As a non-designer, I have no idea why it might be difficult. Thought I'd ask the designers who would know. Maybe the resolution, or colors, or speed or other hindrance.

I work on a laptop, so yes.... it's possible. But it's a P4 with twin 21" LCDs, external optical mouse, external keyboard, twin external 250 gig removeable firewire harddrives (20 of them), all running through a giant APC UPS and networked to the rest of the machines I use for bulk data storage in here.
so, it's not just a laptop.
