Can you design on a laptop ?
Any designers work with a laptop ? Thinking of installing Photoshop and learning a few tricks.
Ehm, why wouldn't you be able to design on a laptop? Screen size issue?
I have a Dell and I use it for just about everything. The docking station is a nice addition when not on the road, or when I want a regular monitor.
just the speed has to be ok, dont install PS on a p1... but a nice widescreen p4 will be as perfect as any desktop...
If you can see it, why not?
You CAN, but it's a bit difficult.
Doing design on a 17" LCD and going to my laptop's 1680x1050 took some getting used to. |
As a non-designer, I have no idea why it might be difficult. Thought I'd ask the designers who would know. Maybe the resolution, or colors, or speed or other hindrance.
my resolution is 1400x1050 on a 15" and i do just fine :)
Its no problem, but the colors look different sometimes with my laptop so i double check on the PC.
Its possible but I prefer to work on a desktop, and I can't mis the duals to work on ;)))
it's possible yes
It's possible, but you need great video card (ATI)
of course you can! why wouldn't you be able to?
yeah, you can but even on 17 powerbook it can be come a pain. depends what you're going to design.
I work on a laptop, so yes.... it's possible. But it's a P4 with twin 21" LCDs, external optical mouse, external keyboard, twin external 250 gig removeable firewire harddrives (20 of them), all running through a giant APC UPS and networked to the rest of the machines I use for bulk data storage in here.
so, it's not just a laptop. :winkwink: |
