by the way I get paid for projects, bought my mother flowers when she was in the hospital and use it at several online stores all with an unverified account. So yes it can be done.

It is pretty much next to impossible. You can send upto $2000 if you verify with a credit card and I believe you can verify with a credit card that does not match the name on the account. For instance if your PayPal ID is a business name but your business does not have a CC I'm pretty sure you can verify your account with your CC. That might work for you. The other option may be to remove your bank account from your other PayPal acct and verify your new acct with it. I'd read and reread PayPals guidelines 1st though as they can change.

You have 3 choices

1. Write off the money
2. Call paypal and tell them your problem
3. Deposit the money into a normal checking account. PayPal asks you for the account holders name but the deposit will still go through if the name doesnt match the bank account. Get a gift credit card from your bank under the name on the PayPal account. If needed, enter a fake social insurance number as they may only need one on file to have your account verified.

Number 2 might be the best solution but with the most hassle ie you having to fax over all your id, etc to them and dealing with their shitty customer service

I'm not gonna read through every one of these posts..

But I'm pretty sure you can't even ACCEPT the money into your account unless you are verified in some way. Is there a link next to the money entry saying something like, pending or something. I forget now. Been soooooo long since I opened my pp account.

If by some miracle the money has cleared, You might be able to refund the money also and then ask the person to send you a check or something instead.

Hmmm, always thought you could send money regardless if it was verified. Since you say you can't do that, why not use the money to purchase something you need from ebay or some other merchant that accepts paypal.

You can only send so much per month or so much period until you are verified. I think the total amount is $1000.00. You can recieve payments without a verified account

Yes, please contact paypal, tell them you created an account with a fake name and wish to use it... and then report back to us.
I'm eager to hear what happens when you admit to fraud right to their faces

I have been using PayPal for a long time and tend to know the ropes. Their customer service and policies are a extremely poor and I would recommend using any alternative you can find such as a merchant account which charges the standard 3% rate.

No I am from Canada but have had both USA and Canada PayPal accounts. You do not have to be verified to receive funds and send funds up to I believe a total of $1000.00 (from your paypal account)

Ok I havent read page 2 since I am in hurry atm. I have had the same problem 2 years ago. Not that I have signed up with a invalid name but I wasnt able to send money unless I wasnt verified.

SO I decided to call paypal , once I have called and explained the nice woman that I have got money on my account but am not able to transfer it and I think this is my right to control the money that belongs to me .. 2 business days later my account had an increase send out limit and I was able to send money out to my bank account ..

Try this way , good luck ...

and ifthis hint was posted already . ignore it

I havent read all this thread so I don't know if you worked out a solution. But I experienced this and had no problems.
I also opened a paypal accout with a fake name and fake address, then several months later Paypal limited the account stopping me from recieving payments, however I could still make payments up to £500. I added my real bank details to my profile and transferred everything owing.
The transaction went through smoothly.

You can receive money with an unverified acct. As PayPal says, "send money to anyone with an email address." If you verify with a CC and not a bank acct in the US you can send upto $2000.00.

As for all the ppl that say get a fake bank acct. with a fake SS card, etc., etc. do NOT do that. If you do you have commited a Federal crime with some pretty stiff penalties.

PayPal is not a bank account nor I believe government regulated. Its the same thing as signing up to eBay with a fake name for example, is that still fraud?

The only fraud I see in it is entering a fake social security number since this could show up on the credit report of someone. Maybe entering 123456789 as the SN will show good intent of you just trying to get your money out of a company that freezes accounts for no good reason. If PayPal was anything close to a bank they would call the customer up multiple times to try to solve any problems before limiting or freezing an account.

Bank One probably processes their debit card transactions and mine only says Bank One in tiny letters on the back. They also pool money in certain banks so your funds have pass through FDIC insurance but I believe they use CoAmerica, Wells Fargo and Bank of America for that and not Bank One.

You can also get a credit card with a John Deere tractor on it but as far as I know John Deere isn't a bank.
