Anyone here used Lightscribe?
I want to buy an external burner with Lightscribe but I've heard it takes forever to burn the labels. Any feedback? Should I wait until they improve their label burning speed?

If I were you, I would wait a couple of months (if you can) If you want to do an entire CD or DVD in lightscribe it will take approx. 30 minutes. (they will be releasing much faster burn speeds when the technology is up to par, and even a possibility for colour, as their is a very high demand) HP and Compaq have patented this technology and it is only available on their computers/notebooks. In the near future they will be outsourcing/selling their technology to other companies.
To burn just a title such as "My Vacation" with a small image in Draft Mode, it will take under 3 minutes. Im actually a HP Rep up in Canada! Anyway hope this helped -Andrew Here is one I did, and I use it in store  Quote:

You know for a fact it will be faster in a couple months? I looked everywhere and couln't find any info on when an upgrade was happening. yea, I'd rather wait if there's going to be an upgrade soon.
