search engines worth submitting to?
From my experience only Altavista, Google, Lycos, and DMOZ are worth submitting to.
I also submit to Hotbot but I'm not sure if anything really comes from it. Can anybody name a few more that are worth our time submitting free site too? |

Dogpile is a META search engine. It doesn't spider itself. Hotbot utilizes Inktomi and some other databases. DMOZ is a directory. Although it doesn't eliminate the fact that you should submit to it. ![]() From my experience, Goode brings me most SE traffic. I know that SE-optimization gurus get a lot of traffic from other SEs, but Google is the most popular these days. And the easiest to get high positions in for an amateur. Eugene Quote:

DMOZ is a big directory but if you look on their home page you'll also see a big search box
