American version of "The Office" tonight
at 9:30 eastern... yikes that is in about 15 minutes.
It'll probably bomb. Can't be anywhere near as good as the original British version with Ricky Gervais... I'm checking it out anyway.

l think every country has its own type of humour and that a different version of the office wouldnt work ..same goes for monty python etc ..just my 2 cents .....

the original version of the office was one of the best sitcoms ever made...sadly, the American version did not live up to that standard

The original (British) version was very funny
I doubt you could copy it and be just as funny. It's like trying to copy Monty Python or something, it just wouldn't be the same.

you guys mean the plots aren't original?? they just switched the actors??? that would be a major waste for the dude who's supposed to be playing gervais' role cause he's a fucking riot on the daily show with jon stewart.

I have never seen the Brit version of The Office. I just finished watching the first episode of the American version and found it funny in an off the wall way. They seem to have assembled a good group of actors.
I had to explain to my wife (native Japanese) the joke about the carpet matching the drapes. Seeing her reaction was even funnier than the show itself. ADG Webmaster |
