Well Terry,
I haven't heard from VOYMASTER.COM yet and I see you are still linking to a CHEATER and also you are making profits from a CHEATER'S traffic. What does that make you? Where is this guy at? if you say he is your friend and you have done business with him so long, I'd figure he would be here by now???? :-( BV don't want us to see his ip? |

I quite agree with 12clicks - after having written anti-cheat code for my traffic trading script, and seeing the huge percentage of traded traffic that IS bogus these days, I would NEVER buy a TGP without verified sales numbers, screw the fucking traffic. There's just no way to tell whether you're buying 100k TGP of which 80k is hit bot traffic.

Same thing goes for trading traffic now. Who the hell wants to trade with someone without references? I'm pretty much at the stage where if I don't know any of your references I don't want to trade with you cause the chances of you sending me hitbot traffic is JUST too high. References take time to build, and they show commitment, reliabilaty and trustworthyness. References References References Code/scripts is/are secondary. |

Who was talking about code? I wasn't - I was talking about traffic, and my analysis of it in the course of developing code to help detect cheaters and hitbots. And a LARGE percentage of traffic out there is shit, right now there's an epidemic of hitbotters and such, just hit AWI and check it out.
Your point was I should deal with a trustable person - that's the problem.. Since there's so few scripts out there that can detect cheaters (UCJ for instance is easily fooled), they DON'T KNOW that they're getting cheated.. So sure, they can say in complete honesty that "Ya, we're getting 100k", and not have any idea that they're wrong. That's why I would never buy a site unless I had a chance to root around in the logs and run some traffic analysis for a few days first.. Either that, or like I said, verified sales figures. Traffic can suck my dick, it's all about the money. Cheers, Backov ------------------ AVSBlitz - Build AVS Sites Faster and Better [This message has been edited by Backov (edited 12-17-2001).] |

Backov,
That makes perfectly good and logical sense. I don't see how anyone could argue with that statement. Especially when there are so many CHEATERS out there these days! BV |

When I first got into the business I bought paysites and paid the equivalent of one year of gross revenue. I got defrauded on the purchase, but that's not your question.. I would say that your site is likely worth a solid 8-12 months net revenue.
You stated that much of your traffic is from purchased advertising. So, in theory any purchasing webmaster could continue to buy the same advertisements and maintain traffic levels.. After all, this business is ONLY about traffic. Assuming a worst case scenario of getting dropped from SE's and other 'free' linkings, it would likely take at least 6 months for that to happen if your referring base is diverse. The biggest question you'll have to ask yourself if you want to sell is are you going to offer terms to the purchasing party. Most large businesses are sold with a note, X down and X/mo for X months. Discounts always for a cash purchase. I'd give some thought on if you would offer terms. If you would be open to terms, what type of deal suits your goals... and how do you plan on qualifying the purchasing party. Best of Luck! ICQ me if you want a rediculous offer ![]() Brad ------------------ |

i basically agree with Terry. i sometimes like to think about spinning off my largest paysite and it's associated qualified traffic. it would be the easiest to sell in terms of another company taking it over (ie it would be absorbed fairly easily), it has a track record of growing steadily over a number of years, and has several unique attributes that make it imo more valuable than a run of the mill paysite (such as exclusive broadband content, among other things). total monthly revenue = 200K/month. costs are around 60K/month, so 140K net monthly revenue. even on the 12 month gauge, that is only 1.68M. I could never sell it at that price, as we have continued to grow at very solid rate for several years now. logically it makes sense to just keep going. but the idea of being able to cut down heavily on my workload after 4 years, is always a motivation to sell. {/semi serious} |

Ey Terry!
I just checked the counters of your sites. Why do they all show much less traffic than you state here? The other thing is: You claim to have total costs of us$30,000 a month including bandwidth. If you serve 300 pics for free everyday to 400,000 freebies, you would have much higher expenses for bandwidth. Maybe you copied the voyuerweb concepts not as good as you brag here?! Whatever it is, I say you are a liar. And I say your websites are worth a shit, because you might lose them any minute. Its only a question of time. I hope this answered your question... |

That's Right Folks,
Igor is to Voyeurism as Henry Ford is to automobiles. I must say that before I ever had a website I would send Igor a contri every bnow and again. He inspired me to make my own Original site almost 4 years ago. If you havent checked out Voyeurweb.com, do so, and then go look at all the copycats that follow his look! Peace! BV Welcome Igor! |

I am not Igor. But he might show up soon. I forwarded him your postings about the money you make with his work (that was before you deleted your postings).
What happened, RealEd? Did you pee your pants? Why did you remove all your previous postings from this thread? Is it because I posted the URL of your postings on your own forum or is it because you turn to chickenshit when you read the name Igor? You said you are making a fortune by copying Igor ideas. Thats wrong! You not only copied many of Igors ideas and concepts, but also copied one of my concepts. Let me tell you something: Many webmasters copy ideas, functions, footage and more. But they dont brag about the money they make by stealing others work. You walk around like a rooster, but are nothing like a little cheap thief, RealEd. I took it easy, until I read the BS you posted at this forum. Now its time for revenge, RealEd. See you at your own forum, you genius mastermind, LOL.!!!!! And if you see Igor here, please let him now, that I WELCOME IGOR but I am to busy to wait for him here. You copied me, now I copy and paste you. And I have a nice little xmas gifts for you. Check your forum these days! Check your instants. Check the pictures you post. Check your members base. Check the links on your TGP. There are and will be sweet surprises all over your place. ROFLMAO. Happy holidays little rooster aka chickenshit. Rio Bravo Delta aka "Nopassxxx" |

Looks like a good time to sell, and fast !!!!
The moral to this story is: Don't Cheat! and if you are stupid enough to admit doing so and brag about it on a public webmaster board, well that's your own tough luck! Like I've always said: "If your gonna be dumb you gotta be tough!" Later All, BV |
