This motherfucker who brought Worldcom from nowhere to an $11 Billion scandal got away with this shit for YEARS, scammed people out of their money and got 85 years in the can.

Sure he's 60+ years old and can't do 85 in the can, yet he got away with it for some time before they pinched him.

Why is it you or me get a parking ticket, miss a jury duty summons or one of our kids acts up in school and we get a freakin' SWAT team on our asses but guys like this can orchestrate the biggest bankruptcy and finance scandal in history and could have gotten away with it?

Ya think the authorities have too much attention on pornmeisters instead of the real scumbags amongst us?

A phrase I heard a little while back sums up a lot of those types of questions:

"When you owe the bank on a $100,000 loan, the bank owns you.
When you owe the bank on a $250,000,000 loan, you own the bank."

When you have more money than god, you're above the law... at least in those countries that worship at the temple of mammon. It takes a rare event to see people with actual money get cast down to the common rabble, such as the ultra-rich turning on one of their own to be a sacrificial lamb in hopes that it'll mollify the plebes.

well he hasnt got 85 yrs yet...l think he will only get about 7 and serve about 3-4 yrs...but it looks good when they say he can get a MAXIMUM 85
