If you have a full release, open the fucking site, or sell the content and make your money back, or at least some of it.

He paid her for the shoots, I'm assuming with a model agreement, so he can do whatever he wants with the content. He could have had $3500 with no further work. Now he has to put more time into it and try to get more than $3500 back from it.

When you are doing a solo site with a girl and paying her by the shoot, where is her incentive to stay exclusive unless you are paying her a good amount per month or per shoot? I mean more than she would get just working. What was her incentive to do an exlusive deal? Steady work? She could have had that anyway, she's good looking and photogenic.

These are just things you need to think about for future sites. You can find another girl easily. Just make sure you get her locked down non compete, exclusive, whatever you do with solo site models.

one thing i have to my advantage is my age..... i have access to a lot of 18 year old girls haha :) in fact recruited another girl today... exclusive... this time i'll get custom contracts :)

If she said she would only be doing your solo site and she doe another you should sign up at a free host and give away all of her content all the time to anyone that would want to see her. Make her worthless. Show all the members area content.

If you are paying the model for the shoot, why even tell them what it's for? just get them to sign a full release and do what you want with the photos. If you want a girl to do webcam chats, diaries, etc, and be part of the site, don't pay them for the shoots, pay them a percentage of what the site makes...

26 photo sets & 6 videos is enough to launch the site. Either launch it or take the $2500 & find another model.

You can't expect them to pay for your equipment or web server. The $2500 covers your costs associated with this girl.

first off: why are you paying a photographer who doesn't own his own equipment? Or did you buy the equipment just to keep it under the bed?
You need to make up your mind: use a photographer with HIS equip. or you shoot the content yourself with the equip. that you bought.
Also, if you're going to make a solo girl site, you need a CONTRACT.

I had a bad experience with a model's boyfriend at the beginning of us making our own sites. So from then on, the girls can bring a girlfriend, but no b/f or husbands. Unless he dude is going to fuck them on camera.
Plus... use Cheap hotels. Holiday Inns do wonders, and they are about 60 bucks a night.

Anyway, sorry to hear. Things will get better, and you now have the experience. Learn from it!

No what your gonna do is take friday and saturday and shoot 6-10 months worth of content and updates, BEFORE she flakes also. Thats rule #1 with solo teens. Shoot a gang of content

Next time make a contract with the girl that states that she will be exclusive to you and that site, for x number of days weeks or years. Also have a clause that says that if she refuses to fufill her end, and make sure to list the things she needs to do, that she will owe back the cost of production to date, and give up the rest of the site to you.

Move on. Sell the content.

Don't pay for makeup artists, $250 hotel rooms or photographers until you need to (if you really can't shoot get somebody that wants expierence.

Let the model bring a friend if she wants - explain up front that they might need to hang out in the other room during the shoot.

Don't let anybody use drugs or alcohol before or during the shoot.

Word. be glad that's all you spent on her...and that you're not building a site.

Why not make an avs site out of her content?
You won't need to pay for a ccbill account, you can promote it out the ass and use the additional content behind the avs as "bonus content".
You can still make a butt load of money, without additional expense.

Who had the upper hand in this situation? Big ol' Lightspeed or lil ol' you? The model wanted Lightspeed, and not you. You negotiated them to $3500 from $2500, which is very good for you. You cannot expect another business to clean your mess and pay the full bill. Asking for an extra $500 after they just agreed to give you $1000 extra seems like a reach, I think they initially were doing you a favor.
