What you should have done is taken the 3500 from lightspeed. Chalked the time you put into it as a learning expierence and tossed your pride aside. It's only 500 bucks, you paid that for makeup and an over priced hotel room. Both of which you could have saved money on. So honestly if you took the 3500 from Lightspeed, learned from it and put that 500 bucks aside to bad decisions the first time around you'd then not have to be asking advice on GFY and buring some bridges.

That 3500 could have gone a long way to shooting content with a new model.

I don't think she looks that good anyways. Sorry for the blow man, it sure is HARD to get a paysite going, especially with flaky hahahahas.

i know she doesn't look that good, in fact i'm sure she could be replaced with a stray dog who has been hit by a car and is partially retarded..

its just that i wanted to learn the ropes with her site.. from content production... to marketting.... but whatever.. i guess im fucked anyways.. i'll just have to make the best of a shitty situation... and i have an amazing group of people help me out... thanks again

I had to read through a few of the original posts again and I saw that you have been paying the model for the shoots, which means you're keeping 100% of the profits...

With Sahara's site we agreed from the begining as we'd been friends for a year before starting the site... She works for free... She gets 50% of the net and I pay for other models when necessary for g/g or b/g shoots.. And the result is ... No problems, as she has a regular income as an extra to all her other modelling work. We do one or two shoots a month for the site, which can be a couple of g/g stills sets and vids at a time or two sets of stills and 1 vid for b/g... Not many guys in the UK can cum twice in a couple of hrs... LOL, or we do three solo sets of stills and vids.

Next time make the model a 50/50 partner which is an incentive, if she works for others at the same time, so she builds a name for herself. Sahara has shot over 25 films in the last 3 months which will be released in the UK and USA this year, plus she appears on quite a few multi model sites. She's also planning a trip to NY next month to work with www.insex.com as she is a sub and a dom which gives her even more scope to be seen and so draw the surfers to her site.

I hope this bit of info helps you for future solo model site plans :)

Wow, drama drama drama.

This is the first time that my mere appearance in a city has caused so many problems. Maybe I should change my name to "Darth Lightspeed"?

I tried to work this out for everyone, but it feels to me like the model has played us all, so I withdrew my offer for her.

This sums up what happened from my perspective:

I went to Vancouver to meet Steve and his models. I agreed to start with 5 girls, of 9 possible. Steve wanted Mandy in the first 5, but I didn't think she was the right look for Lightspeed. When i found out sonofsam had content of her, i said i won't shoot her at all. She had a cow and blamed him and refused to work with him anymore. So we tried to salvage this by offering to buy out sonofsam. But think about this.... why would I want to PAY EXTRA for a girl i DIDN'T REALLY WANT IN THE FIRST PLACE?

But I prefer to be nice, so let's find a way to work it out.

Today, after 10 days of haggling, i thought we agreed on $3500, and I asked for an NDA (to avoid sonofsam crying on gfy, call it a premonition) -- he raised the price another $500 --- deal breaker. Now here we are, I look like the villian.

I suggest to Sam that he sell his interest in this girl to someone else who she is willing to work with. He called me a snake and a dick, so fuck it, sorry for trying to work it out.

You all got hosed by the model. Why be pissed at one another about it? It comes with the territory man, it isn't the first time you're going to have model problems and lose money. This is business, it comes with a certain degree of risk... sometimes the risk pays off, sometimes you get hosed. The trick is to take full advantage of the "pay off" situations and learn from your mistakes in the "hosed" situations.

Any of the Lightspeed girls look better than this chick.



Son of Sam, I think the whole situation is pretty fucked. Not by you, not by Steve, but by the model. She is obviously looking out for #1, which is herself. She would drop you like a turd at the chance to work with Lightspeed. Then again, if someone else offered her a dime more than Lightspeed I'm sure she would tell him "ain't it a bitch" and give him "good luck" in the industry too.

sadly I agree, he feels his time is worth more then 1k. he could have gotten 3500 and been back at a solid starting point to shoot a new site and learned what he could and could not do

i just threw it out there... like i said before i even started negotiating with lightspeed..... i told the web camming bosses that i would accept 3500.... this all happened in a matter of 2 minutes... they said 3500 i said 4000 and then they said no right away....

Put pride aside my friend. In many situations there is no negotiating. Especially in adult, most people tell you what they want to do and that's that. Not all the back and forth bull shit. Most i've dealt with get to the point, there is no time to nit pick and haggle.

i usually side with the little guy, but i gotta tell ya... if you counter, that *is* a deal breaker... you declined his offer by raising.. i learned this the hard way too... i had a domain i valued at about $200, had some chick offering me $4500, i was like '5k' and she said 'no' and when I said 'umm ok I'll take 4.5k' she said 'no, you declined my offer, that's a deal breaker...

sucked ... i learned the hard way on this deal as it was right before XMas when i was a poor Marine and I could have used it...

We agreed on the deal as we had been friends for so long, and I introduced her to the main producers in the adult biz over here, so 50/50 was a natural agreement. We spoke about me being her agent for a while, but we decided to build the site instead as I felt awkward taking money from her that way...

I shoot all the content except the b/g, as that's the one style she doesn't feel comfortable doing with me behind the camera. We have a friend who shoots that and he does it on a content share basis or he pays her, gives us the stills for the site and we promote the film when it's released on Dvd.

As I said, Sahara is a full time model and as well as the films she's shot so far, she also appears on UK satellite tv at least once a week in a hardcore g/g show. Any money she makes from the site is a bonus to her normal work, which earns her $11000-14000 a month. The only prob I have is explaining that what she see's on the CCBill stats as gross sales isn't what we get in the end... LOL. I wish CCBill would make the last column the amount we will receive after deductions.. AC/EGS Pay had that as a feature when they were processors, as we webmasters pointed it out while it was still in beta would be a good idea :)

In the UK there are a few webmasters who work with models successfully running a solo site on a 50/50 basis... Maybe it's just a UK thing. One friend of mine looks after quite a few of them and never has a problem. In fact he's now stopped taking on more models as he works all hours of the day as it is.
