Ahahahahahahahahaha "arrogant Canadians" - I believe YOUR fucking president has not been returning our Prime Minister's phone calls all week you dumb fuck. Takes FOREVER for ANYTHING TO GET DONE. Unlike some Conneticut golfer cokehead presidents

Our Governement currently has a minority leadership which greatly restricts the activities of our Prime minister. Even with a majority government the PM still has less power than the President of the US. Thats a fact as stated by the US ambassador to Canada, that lazy-eyed psycho.

Why is it that democrats feel they are open minded, gather their news from alterior sources and form much better conclusions and truths to issues and call republicans sheep who are brainwashed? I find it funny at best

iwantchixx 03-02-2005 09:39 PM

I bet all you keyboard warriors feel pretty good about yourselves sitting here arguing about something neither of you are directly involved in. It's like complaining about Barney's purple suit when you don't even watch it.

Most of the biggest political keyboard warriors haven't been to war, had anything to do with the government nor been any part of anything that is being discussed here yet feel the need to pipe up, call people idiots who don't follow their same belief system and have huge opinions about something they really aren;t involved in and insit on arguing, slandering people and acting like total fucking sheep.

I find it laughable.

If you REALLY think your opinion matters and feel so strongly about something then stop whining, calling other people idiots and get off your ass and do something about it. GO to law school, get a degree, go through he ropes, and get into politics. Until then, you're all blowing hot air.

Being concerned and up on current events is one thing, but getting into an argument over a subject that you have no experience about nor any direct involvement in is pure idiocy. You people remind me of hippies.

iwantchixx 03-02-2005 09:40 PM

but yes. that bitch IS an idiot. She's always spewing hot air, only difference is, she actually has some background in law and politics. Now she's just a hot air bag because she was proven to be nothing but a biggot.

I'm willing to bet that most have just been told she is a hack and a racists. The big problem I was touching on was the fact that most democrats are getting their info from bad sources.

Do you think most democrats realize that the current administration has appointed more minorities to higher positions than any previous administration during the same time that liberals call them right-wing racists?
Do you think they know that more minorites voted republican than ever before?

As far as being a smut peddler, I have one thing to say about that. I know the issues. You have to wiegh the issues to figure out which one is more important.

If you are like me, you are a small business. As a business, you should be extremely worried about the democratic agenda. To me, the potental harm is far worse than anything that could happen to the internet porn industry from either industry.

OH yea, Now Ronald Reagan. He was a democrat when he was an actor. About the time the country changed and made the deomcrat party irrelevent, he became a republican.

?I Didn?t Leave The Democratic Party, The Democratic Party Left Me?

I am fully aware of Ann Coulter's experience. I am also very much aware of her FULL experience, not just her experiences that you only want to remember. Your problem is that you only want to accept what you think is truth and you could care less for believeing well-documented facts.

Are you in fact aware that most House and Senate Republicans won't even give Ann Coulter the time of day? She has been sued by two previous employers because they believed her actions in previous posts were so negative they caused irreparable damage to their reputations. She settled both cases out of court.

And this administration has not appointed "more minorities" than any other administration. You need to do some serious fact checking on that one. Just because they say it, does not make it true.

If they are not racist please explain the "Bell Curve", no? What about their opposition to empowerment zones, or Affirmative Action, and why do they want to totally cut out minority tution grants and end welfare and charity hospitals?

Just because they appoint a few "yes men" who are of opposite color does not make them non-racist.

You only have to take two seconds out of your day now to look at last year's voting demographics to see your point about minorities voting Republican is horse crap. More African-Americans voted for Democrats than any other election in American history, even the Hispanic vote was 8% less for Republicans than it was in 2000. Out of all the black voters 96% voted Democrat (which has never happened in election history).

Incase you are unaware of your history, Republicans used to own the black vote until Roosevelt swept Hoover; and they still never got a percentage of votes like that.

How you think your above your own hyprocrisy I don't understand. SO because you run a small website on your mother's computer that makes you more in touch with the issues than a few celebrities?

Last time I looked we were all Americans and that seems like it should be enough to grasp the issues and debate them. I dont see how your logic holds true that celebrities are not qualified to talk about politics but pornographers who run small websites are?

You speak about Coulter's background like she is some goddess, leaving out all the bad parts, but do you even know anything about Franken's past, other than being a highly successful comedic writer making more money and becoming more successful than you or Coulter could ever dream of?

As a small business I am far more worried about the Republican agenda than I am the Democratic agenda. But please humor me, what exactly is so bad about the Democratic agenda?

I am going to make the question hard for you, it has to be accompanied by truth, you cannot make it up as you go along. I seriously doubt you know one thing about the evil "Democratic agenda". I'm sure it makes you feel all big a "Rush-like" to say things like, "As a business, you should be extremely worried about the democratic agenda." but now try to back it up with substance.

You must mean things like, lifting the burden of providing health insurance from small business owners, tax breaks and government aide to small start-ups and minority business owners, empowerment zones which make it next to impossible to fail when starting up a small business. Or maybe its the Democratic plan to balance the budget your so worried about, you know so we can one day balance our defenses, feed our poor, take care of sick kids, and lower taxes for everybody. Yes that sounds like a very bad plan to me, we must stop those fucking Democrats! :1orglaugh

As a small business owner maybe you can explain why it is you support Bushes decision to take the $6 trillion that was supposed to be used to invest in Social Security funds and give it too his richest supporters, then come back 5 years later whining like a baby about a Social Security crisis.

Ronald Reagan, yes showing more knowledge of your political history, good try boy but not quite. Reagan was elected the DEMOCRATIC Governor of California long after his acting days. He did not become a Republican until he was bought out by the party to run against their own President after he had already tried and failed to gain the Democratic nomination.

There is a difference in respecting a Republican's opinion that has obviously thought about the issue and makes intelligent, well thought-out statements regarding the issue, a totally different thing to listen to some bigot like Ann Coulter spew her hate filled nonsense into the airwaves and then have to hear other racist go about repeating it like its gospel.

Another thing is ideology, Republicans are conservative. Incase you have been sleeping in a cave that means not very open-minded to new things and they want to keep things they way they are/were. Democrats are Progressives, which means they are open to new ideas and moving foward and believe in a constantly evolving society.

Maybe in 50 years that will change again, Republicans used to be Progressives and Democrats were conservative. Then it changed, for a while a Progressives had their own "Bull-Mouse" party with Theodor Roosevelt, and eventually joined Democrats once Republicans drifted more towards Facism and Democrats towards liberalism.

For what it's worth, we knew about the 30-some odd nucks in theatre in Iraq. Exchange program... there was some minor debate about pulling them out but it was decided that they would never likely see actual combat, so just let 'em sit. It wasn't a big deal because... well, it's not a big deal. Trying to play 'gotcha' with that tidbit of information is essentially a waste of time. We all already know, any of us who watch the news, anyways.

Here's another tidbit, it was common knowledge that we had support ships in the persian gulf for a while too. Minesweepers, radar/scout destroyers, resupply and the like. I know a few people who were on them and they were told quite explicitly that they were going to fulfill nato obligations and, unless a potential bogey came within the safe perimeter, would not engage. To my knowledge, not a single pair of boots hit the ground of Iraq from those ships (although I believe some did furlough in Kuwait). The deployment also resulted in a re-tightening of regulations on facial hair, which pissed off a lot of sailors... but it needed to be done, can't make a good seal on a gas mask when you have a full beard and Iraq was rumoured to have Sarin and so forth.

Canada didn't officially send people to vietnam, but a number of Canadians acted of their own accord to go south and enlist. Additionally, Canada geared up to produce various war materiel, including the infamous Napalm and Agent Orange substances... which is one less than stellar moment in Canadian history.

As with respect to news in Canada, and the CBC in particular, we're blessed here in that we have easy access to a number of news sources. CBC, CTV, BBC and, of course, the american cable news channels are all usually part of a basic cable package, and extra channels are readily available (NHK and other asian channels, Australia, various european stations and, of course, al Jazeera). As a result, it's easy for us to find alternate viewpoints if one doesn't want to base ones opinion entirely on the CBC. However, the CBC provides outstanding coverage in most cases, and in controversial issues is very good in providing truly balanced viewpoints. That is, they gather competent and eloquent speakers from all sides of the issue to comment, as opposed to loudmouthed jackasses who equate volume to correctness. Watching US 'news' sometimes is like watching an episode of jerry springer, except the chairs are bolted to the floor so they can't be used as weapons.

Ultimately, to the majority of candians people like Coultier are an irrelevent, shrill former somebody whose antics are seen as a dire attempt at retaining relevence in the wake of her own fuckups. She's one of those people we sort of half-chuckle, half-shake our heads in amazement that people like that actually have some sort of public forum. Kind of like paris hilton, only even LESS fuckable (if that's possible).

BTW - Rich, you gotta stop feeding the trolls man :winkwink:
