Yes you can actually.
But only if you have an existing DVD codec installed on your system. Basically, you'll have to install a DVD player just to get the codec to play DVD's on Media Player. But trust me, once you've installed a proper DVD player, then you won't want to use Media Player for them anyway. It's great for standard videos and audio files, but DVD's require more options.
