Looking at my options on my points -

Canon Elura70 - seems solid

Sony Handycam DVD Camcorder - records to a dvd. my experience is that tech is not durable. My cd burner in my laptop is toast. costs more so might be better.

Anyone own of of these are know what I should look for?? Going on vacation so just for fun not for content.

I don't have problems with both. I got my stuff from ebay, no complaints.

Flynt Digital is going to give me one of these so the price is right. Gotta love rewards programs.

nice, reward programs rock. I still need to cash in some old ass ars reward points. Haven't went to their site for a long time though to check it out.
