Ill make it short n sweet.

Few weeks ago I was approched to do the fucking fired site. K i aint stupid I know why they did this... Now after a long talk with few people and seeing Joesho's antics the last few weeks I made a decision that for my own "brand" and such it would not be wise both business and in general to even be associated with anything Joesmo touches.

Reason being that loose cannons tend to cause harm and bring bad press to anything they are involved in. No contracts were signed. I nicely and in professional manner said...

Hey JizBiz , I have some bad news for ya. I really cannot be part of the fuckin fired site and such any longer , i would appreciate it you would remove my face and any association with me to the site at your earliest convenience.

His response
Why are you pulling out at the last minute Juicy, everything is inplace due to your willingness to do this initially. The graphics have all been done which was no small job and the designer needs paying for this, the text and the site graphics/banners all need to be redone now because you decide a couple hrs after release that you arent interested?

Unfortunately I cant involve myself in this site any longer

Why would you pull out now when such time, effort and energy (almost 3 weeks) has gone into this, and you were 100% involved and behind it all, if you had concerns you should have said something before all this was even considered, let alone put to page. Do you have any idea of how this looks?

How unprofessional this looks, not just from your end but our end as well, due to you pulling out, we need a reason as to why you did this.

K then the loose cannon realized that his site would obviusly fail and decided to get all worked up. Now they are threatning me with a lawsuit which I am very eager to get served with.

Program Owners , Sponsors , Webmasters do you really want to associate yourself with a loose cannon like Joesmo?

Joesho... And now this? He's a loose cannon in your eyes now all of a sudden?

Now, I have never heard anything but good things about you dude, but what the fuck? It's not like Joe was the only party involved here. Promises were made and I can understand why the parties involved are upset. They thought it was a done deal. You were promoting it yourself in a thread the other day. Then all of a sudden you pull out without much of an explanation other than "you can't be involved anymore". Frankly, I would be pissed too if I had gone through having a site designed with someone's likeness and banners and anything else that was done. Someone had to do that work.

Besides all that, I am not going to sit back while my friend is being attacked about something dirty in his past. Inuendo is a hell of a thing. People assume the worst in most cases. What is it in his past that I don't know about? Educate me and the rest of GFY about this please. Like I said on ICQ, I like both you guys but I don't think it's quite fair to insinuate something unless there are facts that can back it up.

Personally, I have no vested interest whatsoever in the fuckinfired thing. I thought it would be cool to hear and watch but other than that I hold no stakes. If things didn't work out between the parties involved, fine, none of my business although I can understand both sides of the arguments. I just see this getting personal and would like to hear the whole story if there is one.

Interesting. Without signed contracts I don't think they can go far on a legal basis. Verbal contracts mean very little. I can see why they would be a bit upset but I am sure there is more to the story. I was just searching for the basics and this thread explained what all the drama was about. Thanks.

I usually stay far away from bullshit GFY drama, as it is usually unwarrented and immature, but I feel obligated to throw my 2 cents in on this one.

From what I hear here I can see why they are pissed.
Though it wasn't on paper, you were still in agreement. I feel that what you did was very unprofessional, and definitely warrents them being angry. I don't know who wouldn't be pissed if something like this happened to them. Really.

Though I doubt anything legal will come out of this, it was still a really bad business move on both of your parts. You for backing out on a deal like this after weeks of production, and especially him/them for not having the simple common sense to write up a contract.

Furthermore, describing Joesho as a "loose cannon" in regards to this situation is unjust. Profoundly so.

Like I said, I know very little about this situation, only from what I decide to read here, and I am basing my opinion only on that. And for you idiots out there, i'm not claiming to know either party, nor am I defending one. I'm simply stating my opinion.

No lawsuit.

#1. No lawyer will take it unless they can easily prove you lost income significant for them to take half of recovery of. An unlaunched website has no past income to use as a bar. Costs already incurred with creation of the site again would again fall to the barometer of "enough worth collecting" to the lawyer... UNLESS you want to throw away major bucks much larger than any possible settlement (guaranteeing the lawyer his fee, with the hopes the judge won't throw it out as a frivilous case) just to "win".

#2 Any e-mails or other items outside of a written contract while although possibly bolstering a case if allowed would fall immediately to #1

It was brought to my attention certain things which I cannot discuss about the parties involved. Things I has suspicions off but my suspiscions were clarified tot he point of being 100 percent true. Thus based on this I had to release myself from any further involvement reason being i dont want to part of a sinking ship.

From what I hear here I can see why they are pissed. Though it wasn't on paper, you were still in agreement. I feel that what you did was very unprofessional, and definitely warrents them being angry. I don't know who wouldn't be pissed if something like this happened to them. Really. Though I doubt anything legal will come out of this, it was still a really bad business move on both of your parts. You for backing out on a deal like this after weeks of production, and especially him/them for not having the simple common sense to write up a contract. Furthermore, describing Joesho as a "loose cannon" in regards to this situation is unjust. Profoundly so. Like I said, I know very little about this situation, only from what I decide to read here, and I am basing my opinion only on that.
