a hundy pissed of adult peeps

of course they are. its money they arent making. it is the due diligence of these huge corporations that is really behind getting rid of as many revenue angles as possible. more money for them. watch the involvement of these big companies in adult over the next 10 years. they know how much money is here to be made.

the more people they get rid of the better. do you see any adult companies lobbying anyone in washington?

the big picture is going to look like the one where the bird is trying to swallow the frog, but the frog's got his hands clamped around the birds neck.

chip away little by little with laws designed to help "control" these nasty pornographers. the spam thing isnt the end. big business wants their internet back and the money that goes with it. i can only imagine the lobbying going on in washington.

TRAFFIC people. TRAFFIC.

the big companies already command millions upon millions of eyeballs everyday. this biz is going to get alot more attention from higher ups. not only feds. just my litle 2 cents. but what do i know?

Almost nobody spams a sponsor without prior agreement. I'm confident signup4cash was using opt-out for their mailings, I don't know about the explicit tag. I know also they were running their own double optin lists. You'll be surprised to see how many US based sponsors don't follow CAN SPAM. Many more lawsuits will follow in 2005. If you see FTC going after signup4cash imagine what will happen to those that don't follow shit, use proxies and harvest emails.

Its great to see a crackdown on spammers, but I'm saying its the begining of the end when it comes to this industry. If the Neocon Republicans have their way, there will be no more porn, there will only be one religion, and you are either for them or against them.

Spamming is for bottom feeders.... we need to get rid of it in order to keep this industry somewhat reputable. I think this is a step in the right direction, programs need to let their affiliates know that spam will not be tolerated.

Check out www.reflected.net

"01/11/05 - The FTC's recent press release regarding the investigation of WTFRC, Inc. of Las Vegas alleges charges being brought forth against several individuals and corporations which operate out of the Las Vegas, NV area. While the FTC charges WTFRC, Inc., doing business as Reflected Networks, Inc., as a defendant in the case, the charges are not against Reflected Networks, Inc. of Illinois, with its presence at www.reflected.net. For more information please contact [email protected]. "

Reflected Networks was owned by Dustin Hamilton, same as the owner of the other companies named in the suit. The company, with Phil Dorff was in Chicago. Although they recently sold the company, Dustin and Phil were working together to clear off their servers of any suspect content. They were involved with and were aware of what was going on.

Earthlink and AOL go after spammers who send email into their systems (ie. [email protected])

If they did use earthlink resources (ie. proxies running on their network), then they would also get nailed for "digital trespassing" and other creative charges that are already on the books. Using telephone wires going across state lines is how it easily becomes a federal offense.

re-read your aiding an abetting laws...

this is why I have turned down some very large mailers...if they can't guarantee can-spam compliance...I can't guarantee they'll be paid...

it's not about how I feel about mailers as much as how I feel about not having feds breaking down my door...

the feds will try whatever way they can to thin the herd...in this case, they apparently used can-spam...next time it'll be 2257, then models coming forward alledging they were forced to shoot porn...

I saw it in the telemarketing industry and it's going to happen in this industry...the only reason there weren't more arrests and such is September 11th and the war in Iraq was distracting everyone's attention...now we have a President in an unpopular war and other problems brewing and this is a nice diversion...

unsolicted advice to everyone: watch your shit very closely...use some of that money to hire good attorneys rather than living like rockstars...
